On a return visit after a long gap, the price was unchanged, a minari (water dropwort) pickled garlic sauce had been added, and the steamed egg cost nothing extra even when re-ordered. Still 19,000 won Back when I was really into beef gopchang, I kept coming back — but I hadn't visited in a while, so I was surprised to see there was almost no change in price. These days other gopchang places charge well over 20,000 won per serving, but Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang still has gopchang and daechang at 19,000 won! Compared to the usual pickled onion sauce most gopchang places serve, the addition of fragrant minari (water dropwort) and minced garlic really lifts the sauce's flavor. The default pickled chives and steamed egg were also really good. Chonggak kimchi, green onion kimchi and mustard leaf kimchi were all delicious. The bits of teuk-yang (extra tripe) mixed into the rice are also a treat, and every kind of radish kimchi at this place is delicious. The radish salad and kkakdugi were totally my style too! Even better than when I visited before, Jinseong Hanwoo Gopchang Garak Flagship delivers upgraded flavor and value in one Garak-dong beef gopchang restaurant.
