Pangyo has a lot of office workers and tons of restaurants nearby, which honestly makes picking a lunch spot harder sometimes. That day I was craving crispy tonkatsu, so I stopped by.

What I liked about the mixed katsu set I chose as my main was that you're not stuck with just one type of katsu — you get to enjoy several kinds at once. The texture varied a little from one type to another, so it was fun comparing them one by one.

Ordering just the main felt a little lacking, so I added the 3 kinds of croquette too. Since tonkatsu is already a fried dish, I worried adding croquettes on top might be overkill — but once they arrived, I was glad I'd ordered them. 😂

Crispy outside and soft inside, they offered a different texture from the tonkatsu. Best of all, having 3 varieties made it fun to try each one. If you're dining solo, the main alone would be plenty filling, but if there are two or more of you, ordering one croquette side to share seems like a good idea.

## Why a cold zero-sugar cola suits tonkatsu

For my drink I picked a zero-sugar cola. With tonkatsu and croquettes on the table, sipping something carbonated in between definitely cleanses the palate! I especially love pairing soda with fried food, so personally this combo worked really well for me.
