Seongsu has so many pretty cafés and restaurants, but when you're moving around with a kid, the criteria change a bit. You still want good vibes, but you also naturally start checking whether there's something for the child to eat and whether the family will feel too out of place.

This time we went with our child to Brivite Seongsu, known as a Seongsu pasta restaurant. Spoiler: we ordered two pastas that day and our child ate almost both of them alone, ha. Thanks to that, we got to eat pretty comfortably too.

Brivite Seongsu feels like a nicely styled restaurant but isn't overly formal in atmosphere. It has tables for two and four, so it looked comfortable for couples and families alike.

It worked well for us eating there with a kid, but just looking at the vibe of the place, I could also see why it's popular for couple dates or blind dates. The food photographs beautifully and the exterior has real atmosphere, so it also seemed like a good stop before or after a Seongsu date course.

## Our child nearly finished two pasta plates alone

Eating out with a kid, even at a famous restaurant, often ends with the parents finishing most of the food because it doesn't suit the child's taste. But this time it went a little differently. We ordered two pastas, and our child ate so well that it felt like they nearly finished both alone. Because the kid ate so well, mealtime naturally felt easier for us too.

In particular, the Hop Hop! Rabbit Pasta, topped with rabbit-shaped mozzarella cheese, was eye-catching for a child from the visuals alone. It's a tomato pasta with shrimp and squid that has some spice, so if you're visiting with a young child, I'd recommend checking the spice level with staff before ordering — every kid handles spice differently.

Brivite Seongsu isn't only about pasta. There's green onion cream corn gnocchi, porcini shrimp gnocchi, salmon steak pasta, rabbit pasta, bacon cream pasta, and spicy vongole oil pasta, among other choices. There are also steaks and risottos, plus sides like Greek yogurt salad, fried eggplant, truffle fries, mushroom soup, and Yorkshire pudding.

## Steak salmon pasta and bacon cream pasta

We ordered steak salmon pasta and bacon cream pasta. The steak salmon pasta had a nicely crisped salmon skin with a savory flavor, and eating it with the pasta made the texture even richer.

The bacon cream pasta wasn't too heavy or greasy, so it was easy to eat all the way through. Our child alternated between both pastas and ate really well, which made it a satisfying family meal choice.

### Mango ade and pudding

We also ordered a mango ade to drink and a pudding on the side. Sipping the mango ade between bites of pasta was refreshingly sweet-tart, and it went especially well with the cream pasta.

The pudding was also a nice bite to share between courses. Overall, from the main dishes to the drink and side, everything paired well, so ordering a few different things to share worked out nicely.
