The basic spread included seasoned raw crab, seasoned eggplant, crispy fried tofu, seasoned peppers, kabocha squash salad, lotus-root salad, japchae (stir-fried glass noodles), pickled onions, pickled garlic scapes, and jellyfish cold salad. I can say without hesitation that not one side dish was bad.... Everything was ridiculously delicious. This was not just a Korean BBQ restaurant—the side dishes were at the quality of a full Korean set-meal restaurant. The squash salad and lotus-root salad were amazing too, so different from elsewhere. Lots of people ordered meat, but lots of people also ordered the lunch-special galbitang. The soup was not overly seasoned and the meat was so tender that it was easy for our one-year-old to eat. Our baby happily ate the galbitang meat and half a bowl of rice. This definitely was not pork belly with too much fat—the fat-to-lean ratio was practically perfect. The cuts were thick too, and the burst of juices was no joke.. >_> The staff cooked all the meat for us, so I could simply eat while looking after our baby. Most guests at Neul Gogi Jip seemed to be visiting with babies or parents. We were so pleased with absolutely everything, from the side dishes to the meat, that my husband said we should come back next time with his parents. They also sell the hwangmi rice, fried seaweed-and-grain chips, and yellow-crab soy sauce used at the restaurant. + For the upcoming Chuseok holiday, LA galbi (LA-cut beef short ribs), 1.5 kg / eight servings, were on sale as a Chuseok gift for ₩150,000 🎁 After all, meat gifts are the best for the holidays, right?
