## In short

Jeju Eunhuine Haejangguk Suwon Ingye Branch is a Jeju-style hangover soup restaurant in Ingye-dong, Suwon, near Suwon City Hall Station on the Suin-Bundang Line. Two bowls of tripe soup at 13,000 won each and a small dombe pork platter at 13,000 won came with a clear beef bone broth that took garlic paste and a scoop of rice well, and the kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi) was good enough to refill once more. Unlike Yangpyeong-style hangover soup, the appeal at Jeju Eunhuine is the clear, nutty broth.

I finally visited Jeju Eunhuine Haejangguk Suwon City Hall branch. This hangover soup spot has been popping up everywhere for years, and I finally made it there haha 😋

I've eaten Yangpyeong-style hangover soup plenty of times, but never the Jeju-style version. While hunting for lunch near Suwon City Hall, I stopped by for the first time and gave it a try.

The clean, deep, savory broth had a totally different kind of charm 👍 Let's get into the review!

## A wide hall that suits solo diners, with a map of Jeju on the wall

The dining hall at Jeju Eunhuine Haejangguk Suwon Ingye Branch was quite spacious. It felt fresh, as if it had recently opened, and had various seating types, so I saw a lot of solo diners. There were also partitioned seats for a more private meal.

Inside, there's a noticeably large map of Jeju Island on display — the spots lit up in red mark where the chain's branches are located 🤩 Actually, I had several chances to visit while in Seogwipo, Jeju, but couldn't make it because of other plans. So I'm glad I finally got to try it here 🙌

## Menu and prices at Jeju Eunhuine: what is blood cube soup?

- ✔️ Basic hangover soup ₩12,000
- ✔️ Tripe soup (naejangtang) ₩13,000
- ✅ Dombe pork Small ₩13,000 / Medium ₩24,000 / Large ₩35,000
- ✅ Side menu: seasoned tripe salad ₩16,000, blood cube soup ₩3,000
- *Free rice refill with one menu order per person

We like our hangover soup packed with tripe (sogang), so we both ordered tripe soup and also added a small dombe pork platter.

I was curious what blood cube soup was — turns out the basic hangover soup already comes with one or two blood cubes (seonji) mixed in, and this is for people who want more of it. I found out only after finishing my meal, which was a bit of a shame, but if you like your hangover soup loaded with blood cubes, definitely order this.

If you take part in the Naver receipt review event, you get to choose one free item from a drink, blood cube soup, or tripe salad — you should absolutely do this. A drink is nice, but choosing an actual menu item like the blood cube soup or tripe salad seems like a much better deal!

## Self-serve corner with side dishes and even a phone charger

The self-serve corner at Jeju Eunhuine Haejangguk is seriously stocked. Cheongyang chili peppers, minced garlic, doenjang (soybean paste), rice, chili oil, pepper, salt, mustard sauce, scissors, tongs, a ladle, kids' spoon-and-fork sets — they even have a portable battery charger on hand!

![Free rice and self-serve tools](https://img.superchart.com/images/jeju-eunhee-haejangguk-suwon-ingye-naejangtang/jeju-eunhee-haejangguk-suwon-ingye-naejangtang-12-1v79g-900.webp)

You can also help yourself to free rice, which made this feel like a really generous restaurant in Ingye-dong. The default side dishes that pair well with the soup are kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi), chili peppers, garlic paste, and ssamjang (dipping paste).

## Small dombe pork, 13,000 won: freshly boiled Jeju-style pork slices

The dombe pork we ordered came out first. It's a boiled pork dish served on a cutting board, and since it's freshly boiled, there was no gamey smell, and the texture was nicely chewy — a great pairing with the soup.

![Small dombe pork served on a cutting board](https://img.superchart.com/images/jeju-eunhee-haejangguk-suwon-ingye-naejangtang/jeju-eunhee-haejangguk-suwon-ingye-naejangtang-13-1aqa2-900.webp)

![Cross-section of boiled dombe pork slices](https://img.superchart.com/images/jeju-eunhee-haejangguk-suwon-ingye-naejangtang/jeju-eunhee-haejangguk-suwon-ingye-naejangtang-14-13og0-900.webp)

![Dombe pork served with lettuce and garlic-ssamjang](https://img.superchart.com/images/jeju-eunhee-haejangguk-suwon-ingye-naejangtang/jeju-eunhee-haejangguk-suwon-ingye-naejangtang-15-17v66-900.webp)

Eating it wrapped with the accompanying lettuce, chili peppers, and garlic-ssamjang made the flavor even better.

## Tripe soup, 13,000 won: clear bone broth with cleaned tripe and blood cubes

Finally, the tripe soup we ordered arrived.

![Tripe soup topped with bean sprouts and napa cabbage](https://img.superchart.com/images/jeju-eunhee-haejangguk-suwon-ingye-naejangtang/jeju-eunhee-haejangguk-suwon-ingye-naejangtang-19-ch3rf-900.webp)

![Two bowls of tripe soup with clear bone broth](https://img.superchart.com/images/jeju-eunhee-haejangguk-suwon-ingye-naejangtang/jeju-eunhee-haejangguk-suwon-ingye-naejangtang-20-ymvj2-900.webp)

It was piled high with bean sprouts and napa cabbage, and unlike the fiery red hangover soups loaded with chili paste, this one stands out for its clearer, more transparent broth. Apparently the base is a deep, savory bone broth simmered for 24 hours in a cauldron.

![Cleaned tripe and blood cubes inside the tripe soup](https://img.superchart.com/images/jeju-eunhee-haejangguk-suwon-ingye-naejangtang/jeju-eunhee-haejangguk-suwon-ingye-naejangtang-21-15tts-900.webp)

![Hangover soup broth mixed with garlic paste](https://img.superchart.com/images/jeju-eunhee-haejangguk-suwon-ingye-naejangtang/jeju-eunhee-haejangguk-suwon-ingye-naejangtang-22-1gc2q-900.webp)

![Mixing rice into the tripe soup](https://img.superchart.com/images/jeju-eunhee-haejangguk-suwon-ingye-naejangtang/jeju-eunhee-haejangguk-suwon-ingye-naejangtang-23-jxjdp-900.webp)

It's generously filled with cleaned tripe, blood cubes, and various offal cuts. After eating most of the bean sprouts and napa cabbage, stirring garlic paste into the remaining broth and mixing it with rice brings out even more umami — that's when you really feel the charm of Jeju-style hangover soup.

![A refilled plate of kkakdugi](https://img.superchart.com/images/jeju-eunhee-haejangguk-suwon-ingye-naejangtang/jeju-eunhee-haejangguk-suwon-ingye-naejangtang-24-1yih7-900.webp)

## Why we asked for a kkakdugi refill at Jeju Eunhuine

The kkakdugi here was especially delicious. They already give you a generous portion at the start, but it was so good we asked for a refill! A gukbap (soup with rice) restaurant really does need good kkakdugi haha.

That's it for this Suwon City Hall Station restaurant, this Ingye-dong restaurant — Jeju Eunhuine Haejangguk. I'll be back next time!
