## In short

Meono Kkameona Daehangno Branch is an Indian curry restaurant on Changgyeonggung-ro near Hyehwa Station in Jongno, Seoul. Two orders of Meono Kkameona Set B (17,000 won per person) came with chicken makhani and palak paneer, naan and rice, plus an extra garlic naan, and every curry tasted light rather than heavy. Meono Kkameona is an easy pick for dinner before a play in Hyehwa.

## Where is Meono Kkameona Daehangno Branch, and why go for Indian curry in Daehangno?

Meono Kkameona Daehangno Branch is an Indian curry restaurant on Changgyeonggung-ro near Hyehwa Station, open daily from 11:00 to 22:30. If you're looking for a Daehangno Hyehwa restaurant recommendation, no one does naan this well.

As some of you know, finding a genuinely good restaurant in Daehangno isn't easy. There are plenty of famous chains, but not that many places you'd actually call a true find.

In the middle of that search, there's a Hyehwa restaurant I really love, and it's Meono Kkameona, which sells Indian curry!!! Of all the places selling curry dishes, this is the one with the least heavy-handed, most delicate and delicious curry!!

Actually there's a very famous Indian curry place in Daehangno too (you know the one), but personally I like this one better — the flavor is lighter and tastier.

## Seating and the private room inside Meono Kkameona

Meono Kkameona Daehangno Branch has plenty of seating and feels spacious, so the owner will welcome you whenever you drop by. There's also a room-like separated area on one side, so if you want a private meal you can ask about it, and semi-group dining in the room is possible.

*Genuinely India-feeling interior*

The moment you walk in, the India vibe is off the charts. Is this what it's like to be in India?

They also have ₩30,000 and ₩50,000 gift vouchers, which would make a nice present! They're usable not just at the Daehangno branch but also at Meono Kkameona's Songdo, Sinchon, and Ansan branches.

## What we ordered: two Set B combos plus garlic naan

We ordered two Meono Kkameona Set B (₩17,000 per person). That gave us two curries, one naan, one rice — and on top of that we added one garlic naan. Ordering was simple, done by QR code.

The table setting alone felt completely India. I also loved that it was pre-set like a fine dining restaurant, haha.

### Tandoori chicken and lassi in Set B

First out was the tandoori chicken. It wasn't over-seasoned, which made it delicious. The salad that came with it had a mango dressing, so it was sweet. If you like fruit dressings, you'll probably love it. Salad isn't usually my thing but this one was good!

There were two kinds of lassi: one plain, one mango-flavored! Some places serve lassi that's really sour, but at Daehangno favorite Meono Kkameona, the lassi wasn't very sour at all — it was mostly light and clean, which was exactly my taste.

![Three basic side dishes on plates](https://img.superchart.com/images/daehangno-indian-curry-set-b-munokamuna/daehangno-indian-curry-set-b-munokamuna-12-1ot8e-900.webp)

### Chicken makhani with sweet naan, the naan thief

Set up for two, the table looked really full. There were three kinds of side dishes too, great for palate cleansing whenever the exotic flavors got a bit much.

The first curry we picked was chicken makhani, a butter chicken with a base level of spiciness. Adding sweet naan to it made the spicy-sweet combo work so well together!! Honestly, so good. Piling spicy chicken curry onto sweet naan and dipping it in — this wasn't a rice thief, it was a naan thief.

![Palak paneer spinach curry](https://img.superchart.com/images/daehangno-indian-curry-set-b-munokamuna/daehangno-indian-curry-set-b-munokamuna-16-14q8y-900.webp)

### Palak paneer (spinach curry) was the favourite

The second curry was palak paneer (spinach curry, single order ₩11,000). The curries look pretty small at first glance, but they turn out surprisingly filling once you dig in.

This spinach curry is a vegan menu item, and the combination of spinach and cheese is really delicious. Honestly, I liked it even more than the chicken makhani curry. Mixed into rice, it disappears in one bowl.

![Yellow rice served with the set](https://img.superchart.com/images/daehangno-indian-curry-set-b-munokamuna/daehangno-indian-curry-set-b-munokamuna-17-x7a55-900.webp)

The rice is this yellow rice, and it's tasty.

## The free onion side dish as a palate cleanser

Among the basic side dishes at Meono Kkameona Daehangno Branch, the seasoned onions were the best. It's not kimchi, not geotjeori (fresh kimchi), not a salad — just onions seasoned with something, and as a palate cleanser it was seriously delicious.

![Dipping naan into curry](https://img.superchart.com/images/daehangno-indian-curry-set-b-munokamuna/daehangno-indian-curry-set-b-munokamuna-18-kyhef-900.webp)

![Tandoori chicken dipped in sauce](https://img.superchart.com/images/daehangno-indian-curry-set-b-munokamuna/daehangno-indian-curry-set-b-munokamuna-19-zitvq-900.webp)

Dipping naan deep into the curry, mixing it into rice — the tandoori chicken sauce was nice because it wasn't too sweet. Keep dipping into the sauce and before you know it, the whole spread is gone.

![Seasoned onion side dish](https://img.superchart.com/images/daehangno-indian-curry-set-b-munokamuna/daehangno-indian-curry-set-b-munokamuna-20-6upmy-900.webp)

Genuinely did the dishes' job for them — scraped every plate clean.

For anyone looking for a restaurant before a play date in Hyehwa, I highly, highly recommend this place!!!
