While wandering around The Hyundai Seoul and IFC Mall in Yeouido, I suddenly craved tteokbokki so badly that I made a stop at Hyeonseonine! It's located right along the way from Yeouido Station to IFC Mall and The Hyundai, so the accessibility was really great. I liked that it was somewhere I could naturally drop into while moving between shopping spots. If you just follow the passage from Yeouido Station toward IFC Mall, it's pretty easy to find. If you're looking for Yeouido tteokbokki, Hyeonseonine's Yeouido branch is probably a name you've heard before. Along with tteokbokki, they have a whole range of Korean snack dishes like sundae (Korean blood sausage), fried snacks, and mini gimbap (seaweed rice roll), plus instant tteokbokki too, so there was fun in choosing what to order. ## Why order instant tteokbokki instead of the regular tteokbokki? This time, instead of the regular tteokbokki I usually get, I ordered the instant tteokbokki! Some places known for Yeouido tteokbokki go so heavy on spice that it can be a lot, but here the spiciness came together with a sweetness that kept me going back for more. Some were even lining up to wait, which made it clear why this is such a popular pick among Yeouido restaurants.
