Pyeongi Dambaek's perilla oil kalguksu (single ₩13,000) had no broth — the noodles were tossed in a perilla oil sauce, and the nutty aroma won me over instantly. The noodles were chewy and had great texture too. After finishing the noodles, I mixed the rice they gave me into the leftover sauce in the bowl, and even that was delicious. The thickness was just right, and eating it with the thinly sliced garlic and spicy peppers on top gave it a clean flavor with no gamey taste.
