## In short

Yukjjip Eungam is a Jirisan pork Korean BBQ restaurant in Eunpyeong, Seoul, a 3-minute walk from Exit 4 of Eungam Station on Line 6 and right beside Bulgwangcheon stream. The writer arrived before 6pm on a Friday and ordered whole pork belly and gabrisal, taking a second-floor table with roomy spacing and a stream view through the window. With a kids' rice option on the menu, Yukjjip suits both families with children and an easy after-work dinner.

Today I've got a review of a BBQ spot near Eungam Station on line 6! It's Yukjjip Eungam, and the name is so unusual that once you hear it you don't forget it haha. It sounds like a name that promises seriously juicy meat!

## Where is Yukjjip Eungam, and what are its hours?

Yukjjip Eungam is at 558 Bulgwangcheon-gil, Eunpyeong-gu, Seoul, just a 3-minute walk from Eungam Station Exit 4. It's really easy to get to by public transport. It's right next to Bulgwangcheon stream, so it's also nice to walk over for an evening stroll haha.

- Sun 12:00–23:00 (last order 22:30)

## Two floors of seating: fine for groups or a table for two

The restaurant spans two floors, so it's much bigger and more comfortable than I expected — a layout that works whether you're there with a big group or just the two of you, no pressure either way!

## How long is the wait at Yukjjip on a Friday evening?

Every time I passed by Yukjjip Eungam there was a line, so we rushed straight from work on a Friday to get there before 6pm. Luckily we got in with no wait at all, but by the time the after-work crowd rolled in, the place filled up fast, and by the time we left there was already a line forming!! If you're visiting on a Friday evening or especially on weekends, I'd recommend coming early to beat the wait.

When we visited there was actually what looked like a group of older gentlemen out for a get-together lol. The seats were spaced generously too, so you can eat comfortably without worrying about the next table — full marks for comfort..! And on top of that, the owner was really friendly, and the view of Bulgwangcheon stream out front was so nice haha.

## Yukjjip's menu lineup and the kids' rice set

Yukjjip sells signature pork neck, whole pork belly, gabrisal, and pork skin, and what really made me think this place is going to do well is that they have a separate kids' rice menu, so parents raising little ones can come to a BBQ spot without stress! And since they say they carefully select only Jirisan pork, the meat quality couldn't help but be good..!

Ordering was done through a tablet on the table, and right now happens to be during a drinks promo period!!! They're running a ₩1,000 soju / ₩2,000 beer event! For us drink-loving folks, that's just pure happiness.

### Side dishes: white kimchi, green onion kimchi and seasoned bean sprouts

Before the meat came out, they brought side dishes to go along with it — a combo that's basically guaranteed to taste great with meat: white kimchi, green onion kimchi, and seasoned bean sprouts! The white kimchi and green onion kimchi especially looked amazing just from the visuals. Wrapped around the meat, they're seriously delicious, ugh.

## Whole pork belly vs gabrisal: which tasted better?

The whole pork belly and gabrisal we'd ordered first came out, and maybe because it's Jirisan pork, the fat-to-meat ratio was well balanced, and both cuts had a noticeably different sheen from the moment they arrived! The meat itself was fresh and cleanly trimmed, so it looked trustworthy just by sight!!

![Plate of thickly sliced raw whole pork belly](https://img.superchart.com/images/eungam-station-pork-bbq-yukjjeup-riverside/eungam-station-pork-bbq-yukjjeup-riverside-13-1oi2a-900.webp)

![Raw gabrisal cut](https://img.superchart.com/images/eungam-station-pork-bbq-yukjjeup-riverside/eungam-station-pork-bbq-yukjjeup-riverside-14-1inmg-900.webp)

The whole pork belly comes sliced into thick cuts, and thanks to that thickness, once it hit the grill the outside turned crispy while the inside stayed juicy and moist. It kept the characteristic savory fattiness of pork belly while finishing clean with no gamey smell, so I kept reaching for more!

![Whole pork belly grilling on the tabletop grill](https://img.superchart.com/images/eungam-station-pork-bbq-yukjjeup-riverside/eungam-station-pork-bbq-yukjjeup-riverside-15-1p6w4-900.webp)

Gabrisal has a chewier texture than pork belly, a cut with a clearly different bite, so ordering it alongside the pork belly and alternating between the two meant we never got tired of it and kept eating happily — I'd definitely recommend ordering both. And true to the restaurant's name, the moment you take a bite, the juices spread right through your mouth — you could tell it was really good meat.

![Cross-section of grilled gabrisal](https://img.superchart.com/images/eungam-station-pork-bbq-yukjjeup-riverside/eungam-station-pork-bbq-yukjjeup-riverside-16-hdcm2-900.webp)

![Grilled meat served with salt and ssamjang](https://img.superchart.com/images/eungam-station-pork-bbq-yukjjeup-riverside/eungam-station-pork-bbq-yukjjeup-riverside-17-p0t1f-900.webp)

The juices stayed plump and alive, and the marbling was mixed in just enough, so you could really taste that clean yet savory umami. It was tasty dipped lightly in salt on its own, and it also went well dipped in ssamjang (seasoned soybean paste)!

## Is Yukjjip worth recommending as a Korean BBQ spot near Eungam Station?

Overall, I felt it's rare to find meat of this freshness near Eungam Station at such an easygoing price. It's great paired with a stroll along Bulgwangcheon stream for a date course, and thanks to how accessible Eungam Station is, it's also perfect for a casual after-work dinner.

This time I only had the whole pork belly and gabrisal, but next time I'll have to try the pork neck they mention as their signature haha. For anyone looking for a Korean BBQ restaurant near Eungam Station, or anyone who cares about fresh meat quality, I strongly recommend Yukjjip!!
