# Yeonnam-dong creamy shrimp pasta at Pastiar, a Seoul restaurant

Today I went to Yeonnam-dong with a friend ₍ᐢ.ˬ.ᐢ₎ I love Toowoomba pasta so much that we went to Pastiar for it! It was so delicious that Pastiar’s Toowoomba Pasta has become my number-one pasta ♡

## Pastiar location and visitor information

Pastiar is on the second floor at 3 Donggyo-ro 38an-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul. It is within a 10-minute walk from Exit 3 of Hongik University Station, so I recommend taking public transportation too 😊 It is very easy to get to!

Hours are 10:00–22:00, with regular closure every Sunday. Last orders are at 21:30. Parking is unavailable, and nearby Dongjin Parking costs ₩5,400 for 60 minutes.

All of Pastiar’s food is said to be made in a homemade style! Even the pickled radish served alongside is made in-house... It was a restaurant where the food simply could not be anything but delicious ☆

Pastiar’s signature menu includes salmon plate (₩30,000), sous-vide steak (₩27,000), lasagna (₩22,000), shakshuka (₩18,000), ragù pasta (₩17,000), basil pesto (₩17,000), bulgogi cream pasta (₩17,000), guacamole and crackers (₩18,000), and gambas al ajillo (₩20,000)!

Beyond the signature dishes, there are plenty of options including Shrimp Toowoomba Pasta (₩17,000), rosé pasta (₩17,000), ricotta cheese salad (₩15,000), and cube steak rice bowl (₩16,000)! Please check the menu for even more options 'ᴗ'

The ragù pasta uses a ragù sauce simmered with care for more than three hours every day. The salmon on the salmon plate is aged using Pastiar’s own method for a distinctive flavor, and the sous-vide steak is slowly cooked at the same temperature each day—every dish is made with care ✿ﾟ

The Coke Zero came first! Even with a standard canned drink, they brought two glasses of ice, so we could enjoy it nice and cold 😊

Finally, the Shrimp Toowoomba Pasta and sous-vide steak arrived! They looked so, so delicious... The owner personally explained how to eat each dish as it arrived. They were so kind 😊 The house-made pickled radish was served too, so we could enjoy everything without it feeling heavy ✨

## Sous-vide steak with tomato sauce

The sous-vide steak comes with steak, tomato sauce, salad, wasabi, and carrot râpée 🥕 Even though we only ordered steak, the accompanying salad made a nice simple appetizer!

Interestingly, it came with tomato sauce rather than steak sauce 🍅 You eat the meat with the tomato sauce, and I thought they went so well together! The sous-vide meat was, as expected, tender and juicy. Add wasabi and you get its sharp kick, the tomato sauce, and finally that tender, juicy meat—a perfect bite .｡.:☆

## Rich and creamy Shrimp Toowoomba Pasta

This Shrimp Toowoomba Pasta is number one in my heart ₍ᐢ.ˬ.ᐢ₎♡ Can you see those plump prawns?! There were six plump prawns on top, and they even provided a separate bowl for discarded prawn tails...

The Toowoomba sauce was nicely creamy and rich. I love thick, clingy pasta sauces, and this one was not thin at all, so it is a pasta dish that fellow thick-sauce fans will really love 🦐 It is not spicy, so anyone can enjoy it!

I love Toowoomba pasta so much that I go around seeking out good places for it, but as I mentioned above, as of today Pastiar’s Toowoomba Pasta has become my number-one pasta. At ₩17,000 for this flavor, I think I will only buy it here from now on ✿ﾟ

The portions were genuinely huge, so it was very hard for the two of us to finish both the steak and pasta... haha. Pasta with sauce that seems to coat every strand is truly delicious pasta, and you can see that coating clearly even in the photo, right?! 🌟

Pastiar is on the second floor! If you reserve for lunch, you can enjoy the cube steak rice bowl for ₩12,000 without waiting, apparently! ₩12,000 in Yeonnam-dong feels like such great value ☺️

Can you see the big arrow on the right?! That is the entrance to the stairs going up to Pastiar. The large arrow sign makes it easy to find ✨

## A soft interior atmosphere for dates and blind dates

The moment I walked in, I thought it would be such a great place for a date or blind date (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧ Soft music playing inside sets the mood right away, and the interior makes you feel as if you have come abroad. It is quiet, softly atmospheric, and the windows are open .｡.:☆ It was this lovely even in the daytime, so I think it would be even more atmospheric at night.

This was the window seat where we sat! The window was wide open, and a cool breeze drifted in. It is decorated with flower baskets, which makes the atmosphere feel even more elegant 💐 Since it is on the second floor, you can enjoy a delicious meal while looking out over Yeonnam-dong too!

The refrigerator held house-made fruit syrups! They felt like healthier drinks because they were made in-house.. 🤍 Next time, I will have to try a drink too.

## A Yeonnam-dong pasta restaurant I want to revisit

Pastiar, a great pasta restaurant in Yeonnam-dong! I am 10,000% willing to revisit. I found my all-time Toowoomba Pasta here.. ♡ There are so many menu items I have not tried yet, so I plan to return for those ☆

There are lots of atmospheric restaurants in Yeonnam-dong, but Pastiar stands out because both the food and ambiance are great, so I especially recommend it for dates and blind dates!
