Handmade burger date between Yeouido and Saetgang stations: Dumburger

After seeing an exhibition at The Hyundai Seoul, we took an evening stroll and I was looking up good places to eat, and a new handmade burger place had opened in Yeouido~~ hohoho. I saved it to try with my boyfriend, and finally!! Today!!! I went to Dumburger Yeouido (덤버거 여의도점).

Dumburger Yeouido is at 11 Uisadang-daero 1-gil, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul, Unit 113 on the 1st floor, a 4-minute walk from Saetgang Station Exit 1 and an 8-minute walk from Yeouido Station Exit 5. It is open daily from 10am to 2am the next day.

Is there a wait at Dumburger Yeouido on a Saturday lunch?

We visited a little after Saturday lunchtime, and luckily we got seated right away with no wait. Seeing those thick patties in American-style handmade burgers, there was no way I could skip it!!

Dumburger Yeouido atmosphere: an American burger joint feel

The inside of Dumburger Yeouido feels like a diner from an American movie or drama. The moment we walked in, oh my! It totally gave off American restaurant vibes.

What does the 200g beef patty Dumb Burger taste like?

The Dumb Burger is named after the shop itself, with a 200g beef patty, American and Colby Jack cheese, caramelized onions, pickles and homemade Dumb sauce. The juiciness and cheese flavor are rich, and the bun held its shape to the end.

I picked the Dumb Burger. Inside is a whopping 200g thick beef patty topped with American cheese and Colby Jack cheese. Add caramelized onions, pickles and Dumburger's homemade Dumb sauce, and that's the lineup. The first thing that caught my eye when it arrived was, of course, the thickness of the patty.

You really have to open your mouth wide to eat it in one bite, and the moment I took a big bite, the juices from the beef patty and the melted cheese hit all at once. The rich nuttiness of the American and Colby Jack cheese goes well with the beef, and with the subtle sweetness of the caramelized onions, it was a pretty full-flavored handmade burger.

The meat and cheese have such a strong presence that it honestly felt like eating a huge burger in America. With such a thick patty I worried the bun would go soggy quickly, but I liked that it kept its shape to the end.

How is the whole-thigh B.L.T chicken burger?

The B.L.T chicken burger (₩10,900 single) has a Dumb chicken patty made from a big piece of whole thigh, plus bacon and special sauce. My boyfriend ordered it and I tried a bite, and this one was honestly more impressive than I expected.

The chicken patty in the burger has a real presence, a different kind of filling from the beef patty!! The thick chicken patty with bacon and special sauce gave a clean, deep chicken flavor along with the savory bacon.

It has a totally different charm from the beef-centered Dumb Burger, so we said,

Shall we go halves?

One is a juicy beef and cheese combo, the other a thick whole-thigh and bacon combo, so if two of you visit Dumburger Yeouido, ordering different burgers and splitting them half and half seems like a good idea~^^

Sweet corn salad as a side at Dumburger

At Dumburger Yeouido we ordered a sweet corn salad (₩2,500) and a drink (₩2,500) separately with the burgers. Burgers alone felt a little lacking, and today I was craving corn salad more than fries~ It was nutty and sweet-tangy, easy to eat, and having the side between bites made the meal feel even fuller.

Lastly, I was so happy that you can wash your hands inside Dumburger Yeouido!

Is Dumburger Yeouido worth it for a handmade burger lunch in Yeouido?

Having tried it, the Dumb Burger with its 200g beef patty clearly delivered rich juiciness and cheese flavor, and the B.L.T chicken burger's big whole-thigh patty was impressive. Best of all, even with generous patties and sauce, the large bun held everything together without going soggy to the end. A burger spot in Yeouido!! Dumburger Yeouido was a great, filling handmade burger place.
