## In short

Bass Burger Sinyongsan is a 24-hour, always-open handmade burger restaurant a 5-minute walk from Sinyongsan, Samgakji, and Yongsan stations in Yongsan, Seoul. On an evening visit, THE Bass Burger and a Hawaiian burger with the bun swapped for lettuce were paired with sweet potato fries, a chili mozza cheese bar, and Cheongjin-dong and Bass Lager craft beers, plus unlimited fries and sauces from the self-serve bar. Today's post is about a visit to Bass Burger Sinyongsan, a place I got pulled into while walking Yongridan-gil after catching a whiff of butter,,

## 🏠 Interior vibe and seating

![Exterior of Bass Burger Sinyongsan with an overseas vibe](https://img.superchart.com/images/bas-burger-sinyongsan-hawaiian-lettuce-bun/bas-burger-sinyongsan-hawaiian-lettuce-bun-04-5wbof-m-842.webp)

The exterior has a strong overseas feel

![Interior seating at Bass Burger Sinyongsan](https://img.superchart.com/images/bas-burger-sinyongsan-hawaiian-lettuce-bun/bas-burger-sinyongsan-hawaiian-lettuce-bun-05-1qn8f-m-900.webp)

The interior was decently spacious, and since I went in the evening it was nearly full. There's a mix of 2- and 4-top seats, with room for about 7 tables indoors.
* There's also a terrace that seats about 4 tables!

![Self-serve bar for grabbing fries and sauces](https://img.superchart.com/images/bas-burger-sinyongsan-hawaiian-lettuce-bun/bas-burger-sinyongsan-hawaiian-lettuce-bun-07-1eg6d-900.webp)

### Self-serve bar with unlimited fries and sauce

At the self-serve bar you can grab fries, sauces, and water. Unlimited refills as much as you need!!

![Unlimited-refill fries brought from the self-serve bar](https://img.superchart.com/images/bas-burger-sinyongsan-hawaiian-lettuce-bun/bas-burger-sinyongsan-hawaiian-lettuce-bun-08-175uv-900.webp)

I didn't expect much from the fries since they felt like a side afterthought, but they were so crispy and good?! I recommend eating them fresh out of the fryer.

## 📋 Menu board and prices

You can check the menu on the table kiosk

The chili mozza cheese bar seemed popular lately so I ordered one
+) They said you can also request beer tastings from staff, so try a variety!!

## 🍔 What we ordered and how it tasted

- THE Bass Burger (₩13,100)
- Hawaiian Burger - bun swapped for lettuce (₩10,700)
- Sweet Potato Fries (₩4,000)
- Chili Mozza Cheese Bar - ranch sauce (₩3,700)
- Cheongjin-dong (₩5,900)
- Bass Lager (₩3,900)

![Table set with burgers, sides, and beer](https://img.superchart.com/images/bas-burger-sinyongsan-hawaiian-lettuce-bun/bas-burger-sinyongsan-hawaiian-lettuce-bun-12-1bphk-900.webp)

Here's what I ordered ~haha the burgers were thick and packed with ingredients

![THE Bass Burger and lettuce-bun Hawaiian burger](https://img.superchart.com/images/bas-burger-sinyongsan-hawaiian-lettuce-bun/bas-burger-sinyongsan-hawaiian-lettuce-bun-13-1m0i2-900.webp)

✅ (left) The Bass Burger is the fundamental menu item!! The balance between the beef patty and fresh vegetables was great 🥩🥬 the shrimp chips were a bonus•••
✅ (right) The Hawaiian burger is the Bass Burger with pineapple topping added, and the sauces gave it an even richer flavor than the basic Bass Burger! My friend swapped the bun for lettuce to eat it healthier

![Sweet, delicious sweet potato fries](https://img.superchart.com/images/bas-burger-sinyongsan-hawaiian-lettuce-bun/bas-burger-sinyongsan-hawaiian-lettuce-bun-14-zh891-m-900.webp)

✅ Sweet potato fries
Sweet and delicious as always

![Three sauces: mentaiko mayo, Bass Burger sauce, and ranch](https://img.superchart.com/images/bas-burger-sinyongsan-hawaiian-lettuce-bun/bas-burger-sinyongsan-hawaiian-lettuce-bun-15-13h7x-900.webp)

You can order as many sauces as you want regardless of quantity, so I got mentaiko mayo, Bass Burger sauce, and ranch — three sauces — and drizzled them on, a fantastic combination

![Spicy chili mozza cheese bar](https://img.superchart.com/images/bas-burger-sinyongsan-hawaiian-lettuce-bun/bas-burger-sinyongsan-hawaiian-lettuce-bun-16-1v0pn-900.webp)

✅ Chili Mozza Cheese Bar
Quite spicy, but the tingling on my tongue was stress-relieving somehow — though it cools down fast, so eat it quick,,

![Two glasses of Cheongjin-dong and Bass Lager craft beer](https://img.superchart.com/images/bas-burger-sinyongsan-hawaiian-lettuce-bun/bas-burger-sinyongsan-hawaiian-lettuce-bun-17-3t9jx-900.webp)

### It's a burger joint, but the beer is legit

(left) Cheongjin-dong beer (6.3%): subtle hop aroma, good balance between heavy body and bitterness
(right) Bass Lager (4.7%): nutty finish + sweet aftertaste, an easy-drinking lager for beginners

## Overall review

If you're looking for a good spot on Yongridan-gil, I highly recommend Bass Burger Sinyongsan!! 💌 The burger quality is great, and in the evenings the chicken burger + beer combo can even cover a drinking session!!! The prices are also reasonable for a handmade burger place. Whether it's a hearty lunch or a second-round drinking spot in Samgakji, it works for any situation, so I'd give it a 100% chance of returning 👍
