Located near Starfield Goyang, Jeju Eunhui-ne Haejangguk Goyang Samsong Branch (제주은희네해장국 고양삼송점) is a great Samsong spot for a meal before or after shopping! My husband and I stopped by on a shopping trip to Starfield Goyang because we wanted to fill our stomachs first. The tables were well spaced, so families can eat without worrying too much about the next table, and high chairs are available too, making it look great for visiting with children! Above all, I noticed many adults coming after work to eat alone or have a drink with their gukbap (rice soup)! When I visited last time, there was squid mulhoe (cold raw-fish soup), but the season is over now and a new menu item, braised cutlassfish, had arrived! Braised cutlassfish is exactly what comes to mind when you think of Jeju! With one meal ordered per person, you can add a bowl of rice and broth for free. Personally, I liked it because the broth was richer than the offal soup. It has lots of brisket and shank, so the broth itself is quite rich, while the bean sprouts and ugeoji add a refreshing yet deep flavor! The broth felt cleaner and lighter than the haejangguk, but it was generously filled with chewy, nutty offal. I think it would suit anyone who enjoys the distinctive texture and nutty flavor of offal. My husband ate it really well too, saying he liked the offal soup broth more than the haejangguk.
