I went diving in Seongnam over the weekend! 💦 The folks in my underwater diving group were so passionate that I poured out ten spoonfuls of my own enthusiasm too, and ended up starving.🌊

## How long was the weekend lunch wait?

☀️ Maybe because it was such a clear, pretty weekend, there was already a line when I arrived! 😅 I usually don't love waiting outside a restaurant, but this time I was a hungry diver, so I decided to power through the wait. 💪

It opens at 11 and the dining limit is 2 hours, so I figured (very scientifically 🧠💡) that tables would definitely be turning over before 1pm. I arrived around 12:30, put my name on the waitlist, and after about 15 minutes I was finally in! 🥳 Tables opened up right on schedule, so I didn't have to wait long at all — great feeling.

- Wolnamssam ingredients: carrots, cucumber, red cabbage, pineapple, crab sticks, and sprouts — colorful wolnamssam vegetables you can pile on as much as you like. 🥗

## Refueling on protein after diving, full-speed eating time

Cranked the induction burner up and dropped in a big load of vegetables and meat! ♨️ Dipping lightly cooked meat and vegetables from the bubbling broth into sauce, I felt all my diving fatigue melt away.

## Making an affogato with the ice cream machine

🍦 Honestly, in my heart I was planning to 'grab some rice from the self-bar and make a savory vegetable porridge to scrape clean!'... but I'd refilled meat and vegetables so thoroughly that I was about to burst, so I sadly had to skip the porridge. 🥲 (Next time I'll save some room specifically for porridge…!)

🍨☕ Off to one side of the restaurant there's an ice cream machine set up alongside a coffee bean machine, and looking around, everyone — like the seasoned pros they clearly were — was pulling espresso shots over ice cream to make affogato! 🔥 👏

🛍️ After eating myself full in the restaurant, I thought 'this would be amazing at home, at a campsite, or outdoors too,' and sure enough there was a separate takeout menu! 💡 The prices and rules are laid out pretty clearly, so I'm noting them down here.

### Basic takeout set & add-on menu

- Basic shabu set (₩3,000): 1 basic broth + 2 sauces
- Broth choice: spicy / seafood / clear
- Sauce choice: chili / peanut / soy sauce
- Wolnamssam (₩12,000): 2 sauces + 10 rice papers included (+₩2,000 for 10 more)
