## Looking for a neat sushi set near Pusan National University?

I visited Moshi Moshi PNU Branch (모시모시 부산대점) because I wanted a clean, satisfying meal around Pusan National University. If you like sushi or Japanese food near the university, I think it would be worth stopping by.

Moshi Moshi PNU Branch had a distinctly Japanese feel right from the exterior. The sign was neat, and the place was compact with a nice atmosphere overall. Choosing a meal can be surprisingly difficult around Pusan National University, but I liked that there was such a range to enjoy, from sushi to noodles and tempura.

Maybe because of the wood-toned interior, the whole space felt cozy. The tables were not packed too tightly either, and it struck me as a good Pusan National University restaurant for a relaxed meal with friends.

The open kitchen at the back gave a little glimpse of the food being prepared. Everything seemed very clean and well maintained, which I liked. It also looked like a nice spot for a date or a casual meal around Pusan National University :)

## Choosing a sushi set from the table

Ordering was easy to do right at the table. There were menu photos, so choosing was not difficult! As I looked through the things I wanted to eat, I realized there were more kinds of sushi than I expected, so I spent ages deciding what to get hahaha.

![Light starter served before the sushi order](https://img.superchart.com/images/busandae-sushi-fish-flavor-moshimoshi/busandae-sushi-fish-flavor-moshimoshi-06-1xz0l-900.webp)

After ordering the sushi and waiting, a light starter came out first. It was mild and soft, just right to have before the meal.

![Salad served alongside the sushi](https://img.superchart.com/images/busandae-sushi-fish-flavor-moshimoshi/busandae-sushi-fish-flavor-moshimoshi-07-g9yzp-900.webp)

I had this salad alongside it too. Its lightly tangy, mild flavor was great for waking up my appetite before the sushi. The vegetables were crisp, and having some between bites kept the meal fresh rather than heavy.

## Sushi with a modest amount of rice

Then the sushi I had been waiting for arrived. Several varieties were arranged neatly on one plate, and it looked appetizing just sitting there. The colors were pretty for photos, and it was fun tasting each of the many types. For reference, I ordered a set.

![Nigiri that let the fish flavor come through](https://img.superchart.com/images/busandae-sushi-fish-flavor-moshimoshi/busandae-sushi-fish-flavor-moshimoshi-09-1ufpf-900.webp)

The nigiri had just the right amount of rice—not too much—so it was easy to taste the fish. With a little soy sauce, it was mild and clean. Each kind had a slightly different texture, so I never got tired of it even after several pieces; I kept reaching for more haha. Above all, the sashimi was wonderfully chewy ㅠㅠㅠ

![Mild tuna sushi](https://img.superchart.com/images/busandae-sushi-fish-flavor-moshimoshi/busandae-sushi-fish-flavor-moshimoshi-10-w2apw-900.webp)

This was tuna sushi, and the color was so pretty from the start. It went down with a soft texture and had a mild flavor, making it one of the items I personally enjoyed quite a lot.

![Sushi topped with thick eel and sauce](https://img.superchart.com/images/busandae-sushi-fish-flavor-moshimoshi/busandae-sushi-fish-flavor-moshimoshi-11-1x0tk-900.webp)

And you cannot leave out eel,,! It was piled on nice and thick, so its soft texture came through right away in one bite. The sweet sauce paired well with the rich, nutty flavor of the eel, making it easy to pick up one piece at a time between the other sushi :)

![Soba served with an icy broth](https://img.superchart.com/images/busandae-sushi-fish-flavor-moshimoshi/busandae-sushi-fish-flavor-moshimoshi-12-1ptev-900.webp)

## Icy soba broth and shrimp tempura too

But it was not over yet!!! Eating the soba (buckwheat noodles) here and there between sushi felt like resetting my palate, so I definitely recommend getting it as part of a set. The broth with tiny ice crystals was amazing.

I also made sure to finish the shrimp tempura that came out last. The batter was fried to a lovely golden color and looked crisp even before I tried it. One bite revealed a crunchy outside and springy shrimp inside, delicious in a totally different way from the sushi.

I tried dipping the tempura lightly in the sauce like this. The savory sauce on the crisp coating kept me reaching for more. Shrimp tempura really does taste best while it is warm. If sushi alone feels a little lacking, I think ordering it alongside would be a good idea haha.

## A meal of sushi, soba, and tempura

Overall, Moshi Moshi PNU Branch was a place I enjoyed because I could have not only sushi but also soba and tempura together. It seemed like a good place to visit on a day when you want a neat Japanese meal around Pusan National University, or when you want to order a variety of dishes to share with friends. There were many kinds of sushi to choose according to your taste, and everything arrived neatly presented, so I left very satisfied :)
