I remembered that the food had been good after trying it once, so when I was considering a venue for the wedding-invitation gathering, I came back. One especially nice thing about Thai food is that, when several people visit together, you can order a variety of dishes and share them. This time too, we ordered a set with several dishes and shared it among the group. We ordered Set C. It included tod mun goong (Thai shrimp cakes), tom yum goong, pu pat phong curry (Thai crab curry), shrimp and crab fried rice, and king prawn pad thai. I think many people associate Saeng Augustine with pu pat phong curry. Tart and fragrant with an exotic aroma, the tom yum goong whetted the appetite and went well alongside the other dishes. We enjoyed the tod mun goong as well. Since we were eating as a group, it was nice to have such a variety of dishes. The fried rice was shrimp and crab fried rice. Some Thai dishes have bold spice aromas, but having an approachable option like fried rice alongside them seemed like it would make a visit with people of different food preferences feel less daunting. Finally, there was king prawn pad thai. Pad thai is a familiar favorite for many people among Thai dishes, so it seems like a good one to order for a gathering. The springy shrimp and noodles were also nice to alternate with the other dishes. With all these dishes laid out on one table, it looked wonderfully abundant.
