Today I'm writing about a visit to Sindorim Sambaekga (신도림삼백가), a great place to go when you're craving Korean food in Sindorim. If you're near Sindorim Station looking for kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup), bossam (boiled pork wraps), or jokbal (braised pig's trotters), this place is worth checking out.

This time we ordered one kalguksu bossam set meal and two sundubu jjigae (soft tofu stew) bossam set meals. It was great being able to try several dishes together, and overall the food was really delicious — we had a very satisfying meal.

## Location and parking at Sindorim Sambaekga

Here's the location of Sindorim Sambaekga, which is close to Sindorim Station.

Sindorim Sambaekga is located at 1F Unit 118, 661 Gyeongin-ro, Guro-gu, Seoul. It's about 244m from Exit 1 of Sindorim Station, making it an easy walk.

It's in the same building as Sindorim Home Plus, and since it's on the ground floor, it wasn't hard to find. It takes about 2–4 minutes on foot from Sindorim Station, and about 1.1km — roughly an 18-minute walk — from Guro Station's Plaza Exit 3.

If you're driving, parking is also available. You can use the underground B3 lot at Sindorim Prugio 1st Complex, and with a meal, up to 2 hours of parking fees are covered. Parking near Sindorim Station can be a bit of a hassle, so having up to 2 hours supported was a nice touch.

## A jokbal and bossam specialist rooted in Sangju's story

As its name suggests, Sindorim Sambaekga is a jokbal, bossam and kalguksu restaurant built around the story of Sangju's "three whites" (삼백).

What stood out to me was how careful they are about ingredients. The jokbal is made only from hand-selected, grade-1 domestic raw pig's trotters, boiled and sold the same day. They say this keeps the flavor tender and free of any gamey smell.

![Sign explaining Sambaekga's use of grade-1 domestic raw pig's trotters](https://img.superchart.com/images/sindorim-sambaekga-kalguksu-bossam-set/sindorim-sambaekga-kalguksu-bossam-set-04-puq6j-900.webp)

![Introduction to Sindorim Sambaekga's jokbal ingredients and cooking method](https://img.superchart.com/images/sindorim-sambaekga-kalguksu-bossam-set/sindorim-sambaekga-kalguksu-bossam-set-05-5i6ti-900.webp)

Rather than the strong herbal-medicine style typical of hanbang jokbal, they've gone through a lot of trial and error to create a jokbal with a savory, deep flavor instead.

The bossam was also special — made with domestic pork raised on Sangju persimmons, using pork belly plus mulberry leaf powder for extra tenderness.

It's served with house-made hongsi geotjeori (persimmon-dressed salad) made fresh the same day, and Jeju radish kimchi aged at low temperature for 48 hours — you could tell a lot of care went into each ingredient.

## Kalguksu bossam set and sundubu jjigae bossam set

We ordered one kalguksu bossam set meal and two sundubu jjigae bossam set meals. The set meal lets you enjoy kalguksu and bossam together, so it was nice being able to try several dishes at once.

Sambaekga's kalguksu reportedly uses 100% domestic fresh noodles, made with broth simmered carefully from 12 quality ingredients. The noodles had a springy, chewy texture, and the broth was rich yet clean — easy to eat without feeling heavy.

### Self-serve barley rice, too

Another feature of Sambaekga's kalguksu is that it comes with barley rice. When you order kalguksu, you can grab barley rice from the self-serve station, then mix it with yeolmu kimchi (young radish kimchi), gochujang and sesame oil.

Being able to enjoy barley rice alongside the kalguksu made for quite a hearty meal. The sundubu jjigae bossam set was also delicious — warm, spicy soft tofu stew paired really well with the tender bossam.

The bossam in particular was tender with no gamey smell, so it went well with kimchi. Getting to enjoy kalguksu, bossam and sundubu jjigae all together made for a satisfying meal. Everything we ordered that day was genuinely delicious.

## Hours and menus available by time slot

Sindorim Sambaekga seems like a great spot whether you just want kalguksu, or you're craving bossam or jokbal.

Since there's a set menu combining kalguksu and bossam, it also works well for anyone looking for a lunch spot. It's open daily from 11:00 AM to 9:40 PM. There's a break time on weekdays from 3:00 to 4:00 PM, but no break time on weekends and holidays.

Note that the available dining hours and menu differ slightly by time slot, so it's worth checking before you go. From 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, only set meals are available; from 4:00 to 9:30 PM, you can also order à la carte, combo, bossam and jokbal menus in addition to the set meals.

Being close to Sindorim Station, offering up to 2 hours of parking support, and serving a variety of Korean dishes like kalguksu, bossam and jokbal all seem like real strengths of this place.

That day we ordered the kalguksu bossam set and the sundubu jjigae bossam set, and everything was delicious — we finished the meal in a great mood.

If you're looking for clean, hearty Korean food in Sindorim, or searching for the best kalguksu, Korean food, or jokbal bossam near Sindorim Station, Sindorim Sambaekga is worth considering.

Next time I visit, I'd love to try the jokbal or other bossam dishes I didn't get to this time :) On a day I wanted a hearty Korean meal in Sindorim, Sambaekga hit the spot!
