If you're near Sindorim Station looking for kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup), bossam (boiled pork wraps), or jokbal (braised pig's trotters), this place is worth checking out. This time we ordered one kalguksu bossam set meal and two sundubu jjigae (soft tofu stew) bossam set meals. Sindorim Sambaekga is located at 1F Unit 118, 661 Gyeongin-ro, Guro-gu, Seoul. It's about 244m from Exit 1 of Sindorim Station, making it an easy walk. It's in the same building as Sindorim Home Plus, and since it's on the ground floor, it wasn't hard to find. It takes about 2–4 minutes on foot from Sindorim Station, and about 1.1km — roughly an 18-minute walk — from Guro Station's Plaza Exit 3. If you're driving, parking is also available. You can use the underground B3 lot at Sindorim Prugio 1st Complex, and with a meal, up to 2 hours of parking fees are covered. What stood out to me was how careful they are about ingredients. The jokbal is made only from hand-selected, grade-1 domestic raw pig's trotters, boiled and sold the same day. The set meal lets you enjoy kalguksu and bossam together, so it was nice being able to try several dishes at once. Sambaekga's kalguksu reportedly uses 100% domestic fresh noodles, made with broth simmered carefully from 12 quality ingredients. When you order kalguksu, you can grab barley rice from the self-serve station, then mix it with yeolmu kimchi (young radish kimchi), gochujang and sesame oil. Being able to enjoy barley rice alongside the kalguksu made for quite a hearty meal. The sundubu jjigae bossam set was also delicious — warm, spicy soft tofu stew paired really well with the tender bossam. The bossam in particular was tender with no gamey smell, so it went well with kimchi. Getting to enjoy kalguksu, bossam and sundubu jjigae all together made for a satisfying meal.
