I tried grilled lemon shrimp sushi for the first time — it was refreshingly citrusy when you're getting full, perfect for a reset. The lobster sushi looked amazing but I was too full to try it~ There was even fresh raw salmon sashimi, which isn't even at the Kuu Kuu Gold branch! It would've felt lacking with just tteokbokki and sundae though— Moving over, there were 8 kinds of fried food!! My very first mala tang was actually at Kuu Kuu, and it was numbing and delicious then and now. I didn't get to try the samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup), but the chicken in there looked hearty! Uljin red snow crab soup and pumpkin porridge seemed like nice light bites before the main meal, and there was garlic bread alongside too! The Kuu Kuu ankimo soup en croute looked so good I had to try one — but both the soup and pastry inside were salty, so the seasoning was a bit too strong, slightly disappointing. There's also shrimp dumplings, galbi mandu, and kimchi mandu! I'm a kimchi mandu lover so I wanted to try it but I was too full — bummer,, There's a build-your-own cold buckwheat noodle corner with 10 different toppings,,, that's such a good deal, seriously. Kuu Kuu had 3 kinds of pizza, and the corn pancake pizza looked so unusual I wanted to try it but I was way too full~ The pizza corner was a huge hit with the kids! The smoked duck also looked amazing so I grabbed some, and it was chewy and delicious even though I was already full!! Kuu Kuu had two pastas — the new Uljin red snow crab pasta and vongole. The Kuu Kuu vongole pasta had just the right seasoning, I was surprised how good it was! ## Drinks and 12 herbal teas at Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch Kuu Kuu had soft drinks including Pepsi and zero sugar Cider, plus a coffee machine — the coffee was nutty without acidity, better than cheap coffee shops, highly recommend. There's also cafe latte and hot chocolate!! Pro tip: add an espresso shot to ice cream for an affogato. Kuu Kuu even had ube latte and tapioca pearls! Bubble tea too — that's such a good deal. Kuu Kuu has 12 kinds of herbal tea, so I drank the rooibos orange, which tasted similar to Twosome Place's cream caramel. Just thought of this while writing — if you drizzle the chocolate fondue sauce on the waffle or eat it with ice cream, isn't that basically a Kuu Kuu-style ice cream waffle,,? There were bananas at the fruit corner too, so a chocolate banana ice cream waffle would probably be amazing. ## Is the Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch buffet worth it? Ta-da, I loaded up way too much from the start, but how do you even eat lightly at Kuu Kuu,,,, I started with the orange grapefruit tomato salad as a palate cleanser, then worked through the California roll corner — my favorites were the snow cheese salmon roll and double cheese shrimp roll. Honestly, everything was just delicious ㅜㅜ The shrimp sushi used botan shrimp, so the flavor was even better! And Kuu Kuu's soy-marinated shrimp is such high quality — chewy, springy texture with just the right seasoning, genuinely recommend! Dipping the sushi in wasabi soy sauce is pure bliss,, Kuu Kuu Nowon Branch had more variety than other branches and the food quality overall was so good. Truly, seriously, 10000% revisit intention.
