As it says on the wall, they started as a street cart tteokbokki stand back in 2004, and all their current branches are directly operated rather than franchised! It actually felt more neatly kept than I expected. ## Menu at Hyeonseonine: instant tteokbokki, sets and the beer set Besides the sets, they also sell tteokbokki à la carte, and the instant tteokbokki comes standard with rice cakes, fish cake, jjolmyeon noodles, yakimandu, and egg, with the option to add extra ingredients or cheese! I tried the instant tteokbokki at another branch before, and it was a solid, no-frills version that tasted great. And for people who have trouble deciding, they sell a variety of set menus too. On top of that there's a beer set that pairs beer with tteokbokki! Tteokbokki, sundae, mini gimbap, and fritters all together for ₩23,000! Given today's prices, this feels like a genuinely good deal for a set menu! The portion was really generous and satisfying for two people to share.
