It sits between Madu Station and Jeongbalsan Station on Subway Line 3, and Ilsan MBC is nearby too, so it's easy to find. The interior has a clean white-and-wood look. There's a variety of seating for everything from solo dining to group meals. The tables were spaced generously so it felt comfortable. With five 4-person tables, the capacity seemed good, and they said venue rental is possible too, so it would work well for group gatherings. There are also counter seats that are great for solo diners! You can pay directly from the tablet installed at the table, or pay the staff on your way out after eating! Every table has ginger and pickled radish (rakkyo) set out so you can eat as much as you like — my mom is obsessed with rakkyo, so that was a great point for her! There were also wet wipes in the utensil holder, which I liked. Hwangje Sushi runs a self-serve bar, something you rarely see at a sushi restaurant! Kids' tableware sets, side plates, soup cups, scissors, toothpicks, pickled radish, and even shichimi — you can take or use whatever you need, which was really convenient! I'm the type who always refills the soup at sushi restaurants, so being able to refill as much as I wanted without feeling self-conscious was such a great point! 😊 The soup is kept in a thermos pot to stay warm!
