I'd heard it's one of those trendy 'samchon omakase' style places where the side dishes just keep coming, so I was already excited before we even walked in. ## Where to find Jindallae Silbi near Sadang Station Jindallae Silbi is in the food alley close to Sadang Station. Naturally we went with the Jindallae course for two, Jindallae Silbi's signature menu. The infused liquor caught my eye, but I'm not really into highballs, so we stuck with soju-and-beer. Even the water bottle isn't ordinary — it's one of those nostalgic Del Monte juice bottles everyone had one of growing up. My jaw dropped the second the first spread arrived. Seven side dishes came out first, and I regretted not skipping lunch. Even though this isn't a dedicated sashimi restaurant, the fish was seriously good. Turns out the flounder isn't just any flounder — it's daegwanghyeo, a large flounder caught off Wando in Jeollanam-do. I was already starting to feel full and genuinely wondered if we could finish it. Just as I tried to catch my breath, out came flatfish, pork cutlet, and seafood pancake. Every single one was solidly good, nothing weak among them. With the side dishes never stopping, the soju kept flowing too — that's the real problem here. You really need to come with someone who can drink. The owner clearly knows flavor. It felt like the course was carefully built alternating spicy and rich dishes. Protein, carbs, fat, and fiber — a nutritionally complete samchon omakase. ## Overall verdict We ate an incredible variety of side dishes until we were stuffed. Since basically every dish was a guy's soul food, this is a place where two men could really drink themselves silly. The soju kept flowing without me even noticing, and I ended up drinking a bit too much. Sob. But in an era of expensive everything, a place where you can eat a belly-busting course for ₩39,000 a person is rare.
