The food at Hero Board Game Cafe Daehangno Branch was more varied than I expected. From tteokbokki to ramyeon like nooguri and Shin Ramyun, plus fries, fried chicken, and hot dogs, there was everything from a light snack to a full meal. You always get hungry playing at a Daehangno board game café, so having a real food menu meant we never had to step out.

## Tasting the tteokbokki, Neoguri ramyeon and onion hot dog

![Ordered tteokbokki and Sprite combo](https://img.superchart.com/images/hyehwa-board-game-cafe-tteokbokki-date/hyehwa-board-game-cafe-tteokbokki-date-14-1ofpk-900.webp)

![A plate of spicy-sweet tteokbokki](https://img.superchart.com/images/hyehwa-board-game-cafe-tteokbokki-date/hyehwa-board-game-cafe-tteokbokki-date-15-16woh-900.webp)

![Drink served alongside the tteokbokki](https://img.superchart.com/images/hyehwa-board-game-cafe-tteokbokki-date/hyehwa-board-game-cafe-tteokbokki-date-16-1pjyp-900.webp)

We ordered the tteokbokki (spicy rice cake) and Sprite combo. The tteokbokki had a spicy-sweet sauce with chewy rice cakes, easy to snack on while playing. With the Sprite alongside, it was refreshing after the heat of the sauce.

![Nooguri ramyeon ordered at the board game café](https://img.superchart.com/images/hyehwa-board-game-cafe-tteokbokki-date/hyehwa-board-game-cafe-tteokbokki-date-17-bjzpa-900.webp)

![Close-up of nooguri ramyeon with broth](https://img.superchart.com/images/hyehwa-board-game-cafe-tteokbokki-date/hyehwa-board-game-cafe-tteokbokki-date-18-t9cwt-900.webp)

We also ordered nooguri ramyeon, which was great when we wanted a warm broth. Slurping the noodles and sipping the broth in between made for an easy way to fill up mid-game. Being able to get freshly made ramyeon right there is convenient on a day you're staying a while.

![Onion hot dog ordered as a snack](https://img.superchart.com/images/hyehwa-board-game-cafe-tteokbokki-date/hyehwa-board-game-cafe-tteokbokki-date-19-t9g1t-900.webp)

The onion hot dog was nice as a snack. With the tteokbokki and ramyeon laid out together too, the spread ended up pretty generous. Being able to handle both a meal and playtime in the same space felt like a real draw for a Hyehwa date.

## Playing Blue Marble after the meal

![Blue Marble board game set up on the table](https://img.superchart.com/images/hyehwa-board-game-cafe-tteokbokki-date/hyehwa-board-game-cafe-tteokbokki-date-20-3ctzk-900.webp)

![Blue Marble board and pieces on the table](https://img.superchart.com/images/hyehwa-board-game-cafe-tteokbokki-date/hyehwa-board-game-cafe-tteokbokki-date-22-1hbwc-1200.webp)

We were hungry, so after finishing our food we pulled out Blue Marble and got into it properly. It's a game I played as a kid, so the rules felt familiar, but playing it just the two of us really brought out our competitive side. Playing Blue Marble at a Daehangno board game café was extra fun since it brought back old memories.

After finishing Blue Marble, we browsed other board games and then went out to try the arcade machines, and even checked out the pool table. There was enough time left that we couldn't just play one game and leave — so if you're planning a Hyehwa date and have some spare time after a meal, adding a Hero Board Game stop might not be a bad idea.

## Is Hero Board Game Cafe a good Hyehwa date course?

Hero Board Game Cafe Daehangno Branch had more than just board games to offer — arcade machines, pool, and more. The food menu was varied too, so we could comfortably stay a long time eating tteokbokki, ramyeon, and hot dogs.

This Hyehwa date ended up being a bit different from usual, since we got to play Blue Marble again after a long time. If you're looking for a Daehangno board game café, it's also worth noting how easy the location is to reach by public transit — a good place to add some new fun to a Hyehwa date course. Enjoying both games and snacks at a Daehangno board game café made for a really full day.
