## In short

Songjjujip Magok is a webfoot octopus restaurant in Gangseo, Seoul. I had snow-cheese webfoot octopus with pork belly and assorted add-ins, plus steamed egg, soybean paste stew, fried prawns, wraps, and cheese fried rice. A great spot for pleasantly spicy octopus at roomy tables.

I stopped by Songjjujip Magok for a Korean lunch of webfoot octopus near Magoknaru Station~

## Songjjujip Magok location and parking near Magoknaru Station

It is a place I occasionally visit when I am craving webfoot octopus for lunch near Magoknaru Station, but I think this was my first weekend visit after stopping by near COEX~ It is on the second floor of Central Tower 2 by Exit 1 of Magoknaru Station, and free parking is available for up to two hours~

## A spacious dining room with wide-set tables

![Spacious indoor tables at Songjjujip Magok](https://img.superchart.com/images/magoknaru-cheese-webfoot-octopus-lunch/magoknaru-cheese-webfoot-octopus-lunch-03-1upsv-966.webp)

Songjjujip Magok has a very spacious interior, with lots of tables and plenty of room between them, so it is a comfortable place to eat~

![Group dining area at Songjjujip Magok](https://img.superchart.com/images/magoknaru-cheese-webfoot-octopus-lunch/magoknaru-cheese-webfoot-octopus-lunch-04-15zau-966.webp)

With so many tables and so much space, Songjjujip is a place near Magoknaru and COEX for lunch, group gatherings, or company dinners. I also come here now and then for company lunch get-togethers~

## Basic side dishes for the webfoot octopus

![Basic side dishes served with webfoot octopus](https://img.superchart.com/images/magoknaru-cheese-webfoot-octopus-lunch/magoknaru-cheese-webfoot-octopus-lunch-05-cdtlk-966.webp)

The basic side dishes included a variety of tasty things that go well with webfoot octopus, such as perilla leaves, roasted seaweed, bean sprouts, and garlic chives~

There were lots of side dishes to enjoy with the webfoot octopus~ Rather than a separate self-service station, the staff kindly brought free refills of extra side dishes.

## Snow-cheese webfoot octopus with all the add-ins

![Snow-cheese webfoot octopus with all the add-ins](https://img.superchart.com/images/magoknaru-cheese-webfoot-octopus-lunch/magoknaru-cheese-webfoot-octopus-lunch-07-61v5r-966.webp)

The signature snow-cheese webfoot octopus + all the add-ins combines webfoot octopus, pork belly, and finely shredded “snow” cheese~ It is Songjjujip's hearty signature dish, with premium-grade webfoot octopus for those who cannot handle much spice, assorted add-ins, and snow cheese!

The popular snow-cheese webfoot octopus and pork belly + all the add-ins came generously loaded with webfoot octopus, pork belly, and assorted vegetables. I heard the webfoot octopus is seasoned with a special sauce made with eight medicinal herbs~

Songjjujip's own secret sauce gives it a flavor unlike other webfoot octopus dishes. Personally, I found the seasoning pleasantly spicy, at a level that people who are weak with spice can enjoy~

The snow cheese for the webfoot octopus, pork belly, and all the add-ins is sprinkled on once the webfoot octopus and pork belly have cooked to a certain point~

## Side dishes we ordered

Here is the cheese steamed egg~ Steamed egg is an essential side with webfoot octopus, and this was generously portioned with cheese too, making it just right alongside the spicy sauce~

When you are craving something brothy with lunch, it is nice to order the mini doenjang-jjigae (soybean paste stew) too. It is a good-sized portion, and it tastes great~

The snow-cheese webfoot octopus + all the add-ins looked nicely infused with sauce and pleasantly seasoned, so now it was time to try that cheese, webfoot octopus, and pork belly combination~

## Perilla leaf and seaweed wraps topped with flying-fish roe

You can make wraps with both perilla leaves and seaweed, or use just the perilla leaf, but flying-fish roe is a must! Wrap it around the webfoot octopus and pork belly together, and it tastes so good~

Personally, layering perilla leaf and seaweed with garlic chives, bean sprouts, sauced webfoot octopus, and flying-fish roe is seriously delicious~

We also ordered king prawn tempura as a side. The prawns were really plump, with a great texture and such good flavor—just perfect to eat alongside everything~

## Cheese fried rice with the leftover sauce

The way to finish webfoot octopus is fried rice in the leftover sauce, even when you are full, right?~ I mixed it with the remaining flying-fish roe and cheese fried rice, and it was such a delicious combination even though I was stuffed~
