On the way back from the Seoul Museum of Art, I stopped by with my mom and packed up 2 garlic breads, 2 coffee breads and 1 black sesame bread, and the moist garlic bread and the coffee bread filled with coffee-scented cream were the standouts. Museum → Munhwa Bakery → Insadong Ssamziegil — I genuinely recommend this course ❤️ And the garlic bread + coffee bread + americano combo, personally, I really recommend that too. ### How was the garlic bread at Munhwa Bakery? Munhwa Bakery's garlic bread isn't so much crispy-outside-soft-inside as it is moist all the way through. The garlic flavor comes through strong alongside a sweetness, so it's that sweet-and-savory combo that keeps you reaching for more. ### How was Munhwa Bakery's coffee bread? The coffee bread's smell alone is insane. It practically announces 'I'm coffee bread~'. Fluffy castella with a cream that's gently infused with coffee flavor, melting in your mouth — coffee lovers will absolutely love this haha. ### Black sesame bread, judged by my mom The black sesame bread went straight into mom's mouth before I could even take a photo haha, so no picture of that one lol. You can tell how good it must have been, right? When I asked how it tasted, she said it was chewy like tteok (rice cake) with a nutty black sesame flavor. Plus whatever else looks good haha. Familiar flavors are just too powerful! A great course for strolling through the Ikseon-dong hanok street while snacking on bread. There are plenty of cafés nearby too, so it's nice to take your bread and enjoy it at a café 👍 If you head over toward Jongno 3-4 ga, there are lots of good restaurants, so you can even turn it into a full meal outing! Don't stop at just the bakery — I recommend enjoying the whole Ikseon-dong alley. If you ever find yourself near Jongno 3-ga or Ikseon-dong, I think it's worth stopping by Munhwa Bakery.
