Furato Shokudo is known for its gyukatsu (Japanese beef cutlet) and steki set meals, and I enjoyed it so much that I had to tell you about it, haha. It isn’t exactly inexpensive, but once I tried it, I could see why it costs what it does!! ## Furato Shokudo Seoul Square Direct Store, easy to reach from Seoul Station Furato Shokudo Seoul Square Direct Store is inside Seoul Square. With the steki set meal, you grill each piece of meat yourself over an individual brazier. You can put on only what you want to eat and grill it right away, so everything stays warm until the end, haha. The portion was just right, too. Since we grilled the meat piece by piece as we ate, it went down more easily than I expected, haha. Wow, it was truly delicious from the first bite!! The quality of the meat was clearly good, so it was rich and nutty with a wonderful meaty flavor, haha. The steak sauce was sweet and went well with the meat, but especially well with the rice. I had heard that eating it with Isigny butter makes the meat’s flavor feel deeper, so I was curious and added it. The butter definitely added its aroma and made the nutty flavor much richer! It tasted different from eating the meat on its own, so I liked having it with butter here and there, haha. The choices were a drink, karaage (Japanese fried chicken), onsen tamago (soft-cooked egg), or Isigny butter, so keep that in mind if you visit, haha. ## Why I want to return for lunch near Seoul Station At ₩19,500, Furato Shokudo’s steki set meal initially felt a little pricey for one lunch. But once I tried it, I could understand why it costs that much!! The meat quality was so good that it was delicious with just a little salt, and there was also the fun of trying it one by one with wasabi, steak sauce, and Isigny butter.
