I hadn’t had a perm in a long time. My hair wasn’t in great condition, and lately I’d also been dealing with significant hair loss, so getting perms as often as I used to felt like a burden. Still, I wanted a pretty perm for the first time in ages, so while looking into hair salons near Gangnam Station, I came across Heeol Hair Gangnam Flagship Store. The first thing that caught my eye when I walked in was the bright, clean atmosphere.

The stylist I booked was Designer Geunyeong. I chose her because she had many reviews and I liked the impression I got while looking her up, and in the end, I felt that I had made a really good choice.

## I went in for a perm, and was told not to get one?

At first, I naturally went in planning to get a perm. But after the hair consultation, my thoughts changed a little. Designer Geunyeong carefully examined the condition of my hair and told me she would not recommend a perm. Honestly, I had been worrying to myself, “My hair isn’t in such great shape—can I really get a perm?”

She explained that the texture of my newly growing baby hairs differed from that of my existing damaged hair, so if I got a perm, it might be difficult to achieve the shape I wanted beautifully. She did not simply push a treatment; she explained it calmly, and I was convinced. I did want a perm, but there was no reason to force it when a professional had looked at my hair and told me it was not a good idea, right?

They applied the dye very carefully too, checking the condition of my hair as they went. During the treatment, they brought me coffee and simple snacks, and they were so good that I practically finished all of them. ^^

After the coloring was finished, I went through the Hair Care Special A course. They first replenished plenty of moisture and used heat treatment, then shampooed my hair. Next, they replenished oils, followed with heat treatment and shampooing again. Finally, they carefully protected the cuticles as well.

I had not often received hair care in such step-by-step detail before, so the process itself was fascinating. I also liked how it felt as if moisture and oils were being replenished in my hair one after another.

When I looked in the mirror, my hair looked much fuller even without a perm, and it had become the neat style I wanted, so I loved it. But what pleased me even more was how it felt once I got home.
