Sotbap Hansang is a hanjeongsik (Korean set-meal) place you'll find as you drive straight from the Yongin University entrance intersection toward Yongin University. It sits a bit off the main road in a quiet spot, so the atmosphere felt different from the moment I arrived. It's also a good spot to pick for a meal on a day out near Hesolia CC, which is why I ended up visiting while trying to figure out where to take the family for a meal out. On a day when you want a quiet meal away from the busy city center, this is a Yongin Cheoin-gu restaurant I can confidently recommend.

Walk through the entrance and a garden as wide as a proper backyard greets you first. Well-tended trees and dol hareubang (stone grandfather statues) are placed here and there, so it was nice to stroll around slowly before the meal.

Even though the place is quite large, it never felt cluttered — every corner was kept clean. On one side there's a well-set-up café rest area, so you can enjoy a good cup of coffee and relax after eating.

followed by porridge and miyeokguk (seaweed soup) — the seaweed soup was genuinely delicious.

No single ingredient overpowered the others — each was portioned generously and evenly, and even visually you could tell they'd picked high-quality seafood.
