Most tables seat two to four people, which made it comfortable for lunch with a friend. I also thought it would be nice for a family visit or for bringing your parents. The interior had a subtle Korean restaurant atmosphere without feeling overdone, and it was a little more serene than an ordinary dining space. The tableware and tables were well kept, too. So if you are looking for a Korean restaurant in Hongdae and want somewhere that is neither too formal nor too casual, this is a great sort of atmosphere! The spicy hanwoo gomtang could be ordered either with tripe or with meat only. There was hanwoo yukhoe bibimbap among the meal dishes, making gomtang or yukhoe bibimbap easy choices for a lunch visit like ours. You can add extra yukhoe, which was nice for tailoring the portion to your taste. It already looked like it came with plenty of yukhoe, but adding more made the presentation unmistakably abundant!! The yukhoe was fresh, with a gentle nutty aroma of sesame oil. The fragrant, crisp minari worked very well with it. Bits of onion kept the texture from becoming one-note, and once I mixed in the sauce, the rice and yukhoe came together naturally. A small bowl of clear gomtang broth also comes with the yukhoe bibimbap, making it nice to cleanse the palate with sips of soup as you eat. If you are looking for a Hongdae spot for gomtang and yukhoe bibimbap, I personally think adding extra yukhoe to the bibimbap is a must that day!! If you love yukhoe, the add-on is well worth considering. ### Spicy hanwoo gomtang with a comfortable kick The spicy hanwoo gomtang was clear gomtang with a lightly spicy edge. Trying it, it felt somewhere between beef-and-radish soup and yukgaejang (spicy beef soup)! The broth was not overly intense but gently spicy, so it was easy to mix with rice, and it contained a generous amount of meat. The meat was tender rather than chewy, and there were scallions and radish too, making it fun to alternate between broth and ingredients. You could add more garlic and chili as well!
