## In short

Center Coffee Guui East Pole is a café and dessert shop on level B1 of NC East Pole, right by Exit 3 of Guui Station in Gwangjin, Seoul. With an hour free before an evening study session, the writer and a friend shared camomile tea, a mugwort latte and an original tiramisu in a basement space that feels open thanks to its high ceilings. Open daily until 22:00, Center Coffee Guui East Pole is an easy stop for a short sugar break before evening plans.

I had a study session near Guui Station today, and my friend and I ended up with about an hour of dead time before it started.

Since the time was too short to do anything else, we figured a quick sugar break made the most sense, so we headed to Center Coffee Guui East Pole, a well-known café and dessert spot near Guui Station.

## Where is Center Coffee Guui East Pole, and what are its hours?

Center Coffee Guui East Pole sits inside NC East Pole near Guui Station Exit 3, so it wasn't hard to find at all. And even though it's a basement store, the space felt spacious and open.

It's open until 22:00, so stopping by before an evening study session was no problem at all.

## A basement café in Seoul that doesn't feel underground

The interior of Center Coffee Guui East Pole is decorated in an overall minimal, calm tone, making it a comfortable spot to just sit and relax.

The ceilings are high, so it didn't feel much like a basement at all, and the roomy layout meant we could stay without feeling cramped.

True to a café that's focused on coffee itself, you could sense the care put into bean selection, roasting, and extraction. Tables came in 2-seat, 4-seat, and larger group sizes, so it was nice being able to pick a spot to match our group size. It's also listed as stroller-friendly, so families with kids should be able to visit comfortably too.

## What we ordered at Center Coffee Guui East Pole, and the prices

Looking at the menu board at Center Coffee Guui East Pole, the lineup was really varied, and apparently new seasonal menus get added too. I was curious about the Korean melon yogurt smoothie, but it was too cold out for that, so I passed... I'll have to try it once summer comes around.

- Coffee — Americano ₩5,400 / Flat White ₩5,500 / Latte ₩6,000 / Vanilla Latte ₩6,500
- Signature — Mugwort Latte ₩6,500 / Plum Omija Tea ₩6,500 / Korean Melon Yogurt Smoothie ₩7,000 / Matcha Latte ₩6,500
- Cold brew — Decaf Cold Brew ₩6,500 / Geisha Cold Brew ₩7,500
- Tea — Jasmine ₩6,500 / Peppermint ₩6,500 / Camomile ₩6,500
- Dessert — Scones, cheesecake, tiramisu

I'd already had a coffee earlier in the day, so I went with caffeine-free camomile, and my friend ordered the mugwort latte. We also added one original tiramisu cake to share.

Ordering is done through a kiosk, and the menu was well organized, so it didn't take long to choose.

## How the camomile tea, mugwort latte and original tiramisu tasted

Served in pretty cups and plates — such a nice touch! Clean and neat all around!

First, the camomile had a gentle, soothing chrysanthemum-like scent that went down easily in the evening.

My friend's mugwort latte had a nutty mugwort aroma balanced with soft cream, and the sweetness wasn't overdone — it felt well balanced overall.

The original tiramisu had smooth mascarpone cream with coffee syrup soaked through, giving it a clean flavor that wasn't too sweet. The portion was just right for two people to share one order.

## One hour at Center Coffee before an evening study session

It was a short window, but we managed to enjoy camomile, mugwort latte, and tiramisu without rushing before heading off to study. With its calm atmosphere and stroller access, this café near Guui Station is one I'll remember as a comfortable spot for all kinds of occasions. Next time, I'll review another spot near Guui Station!
