## In short

T Coffee is a quiet basement café in Seongsu, Seoul, a 6-minute walk from Exit 2 of Seongsu Station on Line 2. The open kitchen lets you watch the hand-drip brewing up close, and both the Ethiopia Guji Gogugu natural hand-drip and the iced lemon perilla mugwort tea arrive filled right to the brim. T Coffee is quiet enough for laptop work or studying, and the coffee is genuinely well made.

When you think of a Seongsu café, you probably picture crowds and noise, right? Today I want to recommend T Coffee, a quiet Seongsu café that flips that image on its head. It has a calm, low-key atmosphere that's great for studying or getting work done.

## T Coffee opening hours

T Coffee is open weekdays from 9am to 8pm, and weekends from 11am to 8pm. Since it opens early on weekdays, it's great for morning work sessions too.

## How to walk to T Coffee from Seongsu Station

T Coffee is a 6-minute walk from Exit 2 of Seongsu Station on Line 2. Just keep walking straight and you'll spot it in a distinctive building, so it's very easy to find.

T Coffee is on the basement level. But I'd recommend using the stairs at the back of the building rather than the front — the front stairs lead down to a different shop.

## Inside T Coffee: is it good for studying and laptop work?

Here's what T Coffee looks like inside. The space is bigger than I expected, with a good variety of tables.

There's a tree view that brings a real sense of calm,

and the whole place is quiet overall, so lots of people were working or studying with their laptops. Even if that's not what you're after, it also feels like a nice spot for a quiet chat with a friend.

## T Coffee menu and dessert lineup

Here's the menu at T Coffee. Alongside americanos, they had a good variety of non-coffee drinks too.

On top of that, there are sand cookies,

pistachio cream choux, carrot cake,

cheesecake, and biscuits.

I ordered the hand-drip coffee and the lemon perilla mugwort tea.

Here's the hand-drip being brewed right in front of me. Since it's an open kitchen, you can actually watch the whole process, which I found really interesting.

## How the hand-drip coffee and lemon perilla mugwort tea taste

Here are the hand-drip coffee and lemon perilla mugwort tea I ordered. I got the hand-drip hot and the mugwort tea iced.

First, the hand-drip coffee! The beans were Ethiopia Guji Gogugu natural.

What surprised me was that they filled the cup almost to overflowing. The portion is genuinely huge!

It had that clean, distinctive hand-drip flavor, well balanced without leaning too far into sourness, astringency, or bitterness. In that sense, this place really knows how to make coffee.

Next up was the lemon perilla mugwort tea, which I ordered because the name sounded so unfamiliar! This one also came filled almost to the brim. Seems like generous portions are just their thing.

The lemon perilla mugwort tea had a pronounced herbal note from the perilla and mugwort, and left my mouth feeling clean and refreshed afterward — I personally really liked it. I think it suits being served iced even better.
