I like Greek yogurt so much I eat it instead of rice sometimes. Did you know that even though it's all called "Greek yogurt," the taste and texture can be completely different depending on fermentation temperature, ingredients, and how long the whey is drained off?

It really is completely different, so there's a fun side to trying various brands and comparing how thick and flavorful each one is.

Lazy Yogurt, which I visited recently, had all kinds of flavors ready besides plain — chestnut, black sesame, blueberry, soy milk, Ppoddo, and more — and I wanted to try one of each, but sadly I only have one stomach, so I couldn't get to all the flavors I wanted.

I had plans in Gangnam this time, and it turns out Lazy Yogurt, which I thought only had a Seongsu location, also has a Gangnam branch. Since I was curious about the other flavors anyway, I stopped by Lazy Yogurt Gangnam, a Greek yogurt spot in Gangnam, to try what I'd missed.

## Where is Lazy Yogurt Gangnam and when is it open?

Lazy Yogurt Gangnam is located at 105-ho, 109 Yeoksam-ro, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, a 5-minute walk from Exit 4 of Gangnam Station. It's open 10:00–20:00, every day of the year.

Since it's right by the subway, it's easy to reach on foot or by public transit — good for a quick stop if you have plans near Gangnam Station.

## Inside Lazy Yogurt Gangnam: seating and atmosphere

Lazy Yogurt Gangnam isn't a huge space, so it seems like there are more takeout and delivery orders than dine-in. Takeout is available too, so it might be nice to grab one and head to Jamwon Hangang Park for a relaxed picnic looking out at the Han River!

The interior has a clean, comfortable white, wood, and green tone, with soft lighting adding a cozy mood — a space where you can enjoy a bit of calm and rest in the middle of a busy city.

The tables are arranged mostly as single seats and two-tops, so it's good for enjoying Greek yogurt alone at leisure, and also good for a light visit with friends or a date, resting a bit while eating delicious yogurt.

With the open kitchen, you can see the containers holding the yogurt, the coffee machine, and more — the yogurt is stored by flavor, kind of like the Baskin Robbins of the yogurt world lol

## Black sesame single with four toppings, 10,700 won: how it tasted

What I had at Lazy Yogurt Gangnam was a Single (₩3,900) swapped to black sesame (+₩1,500), plus cacao nibs (+₩1,000), dried fig (+₩1,700), seasonal fruit (₩1,600), and cracker (₩1,000), for a total of ₩10,700. Besides the signature combos, being able to customize a Single or Double to your own taste is such a nice option!

It's a really nutty combination, so if you have an older-leaning palate like me, highly recommend!!

It's so thick it's hard to scoop with one hand.. you can see how dense it is..!

It's thick yet melts smoothly in your mouth, with the nutty, deep black sesame flavor added on top for a clean-but-nutty combo — perfect if you have an older-leaning palate! With the gentle sweetness spreading behind the black sesame's nuttiness, it's good even if you're not usually a black sesame fan!

The sweet seasonal fruit — fig — paired with slightly bitter cacao nibs, and the crunchy, sweet-nutty-clean coconut chunk on top, made for a combo that couldn't not be delicious..!

Put the nutty black sesame Greek yogurt on top of a crunchy, nutty cracker and you get a cracker + spread combo — fun texture plus loads of nuttiness, so definitely note this combo down~!

## Is the rice Greek yogurt worth ordering?

Rice Greek yogurt is ₩5,400 if ordered on its own, but I got mine as a taste-size sample from the Naver receipt review. Apparently it's usually given out randomly..!

They asked if I had a flavor preference, so I picked rice Greek yogurt! Just from the look, I thought it was plain Greek yogurt haha lol

Yeah.. it's hard to scoop alone too.. when I tried scooping with one hand, the yogurt basically levitated~

Black sesame is thick, but rice felt a bit stickier, if that makes sense..?

Hmm.. if you didn't know, you might not even guess it was rice..? To put it simply, it's like plain Greek yogurt + honey! The texture was more crumbly and loose rather than thick, and maybe because I built up my expectations, personally I don't feel the need to repurchase..?

## Granola 200g and pumpkin tea to take home

Lazy Yogurt's granola isn't the cheap, mass-produced kind — it's homemade!! With pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, cashews, walnuts, and more nuts mixed in, it adds even more texture and nuttiness.

I put a bit on top of the rice Greek yogurt :) Yeah.. yogurt really lives or dies by its toppings :> The more toppings, the tastier it gets..

🎃 Pumpkin tea (₩3,500) has a savory, roasted charm. I heard pumpkin tea is good for reducing bloating, so I ordered it ha.. cleared it right up..
