True to its name, it had much more broth than an ordinary tomato pasta. The tangy tomato base had a spicy kick, and seafood such as mussels and squid gave the broth a refreshing quality. It had a pleasantly strong garlic flavor. ## Combinations that worked well when I tried them Personally, there were two combinations from this order that I liked best. ### Pizza and pastang When the pizza's cheese and pepperoni started to feel a little rich, a spoonful of the spicy tomato broth cleared my palate. Alternating between the two dishes was much less cloying than eating pizza alone. ### Garlic bread and pastang broth Dunking the garlic bread lightly in the broth worked better than I expected too. The crisp garlic bread softened in the broth, and the garlic aroma came through alongside the spicy tomato flavor. ## Final thoughts on terrace pizza and beer After visiting in person, the pizza was absolutely delicious, worthy of a Seoul top-10 pizza spot, and the spicy tomato pastang went so well with pizza and beer that I think it would make a great side dish when you are craving that combination. What stayed with me most at Pizza E Michida Konkuk University Branch was not only the food, but also the mini brazier that kept the pizza warm and the open terrace atmosphere. Sharing the half-and-half pizza as pepperoni aglio e olio and mushroom meant we could alternate between two flavors, while the spicy tomato pastang cut through the richness of the pizza, so the pairing worked better than I expected. Especially on a cool evening, sitting on the terrace with a slice of pizza and beer, then occasionally spooning up the spicy pastang broth, was quite lovely. So personally, I think this is a place I will remember when I want to enjoy pizza and drinks around Konkuk University with that outdoor late-night-stall atmosphere.
