The menu ranged from rice bowls to ramen to mazesoba, so everyone could pick what they wanted! The place was way bigger and more comfortable than I expected! The seasoning wasn't too strong either, so it was easy to eat with the rice. Soy sauce was already drizzled on top, so I didn't need to dip it separately, which made it easy to eat. I also grabbed some wasabi from the self-serve bar and piled it on top of the salmon, and the sharp kick made it even more delicious. The toppings on top were generous, and it was moist rather than thick and gooey, which I liked even more. We ended up mixing in a bowl of white rice with it too, and the rice took on a whole different, delicious flavor haha. ### Karai ramen, Hekbap's spicy bowl The karai ramen had a spicy but deep-flavored broth, so even though I hadn't been drinking, it somehow felt like a hangover cure... The noodles weren't overcooked either, cooked just right to go with the broth! If any of these apply to you, be sure to check before your visit and grab the perks 😊 Parking isn't available, so I'd recommend public transit over driving. Reservations are possible for groups of 5 or more, so if you're visiting as a group, book ahead! Overall, Hekbap had a wide variety of dishes, so it was easy to pick and choose according to taste. Visiting with friends and sharing a bunch of dishes made it even more enjoyable. It seems like a good spot for a meal-up with friends if you're a student at Konkuk or Sejong University, and it also seemed fine for solo dining.
