When you hear 'hotel lunch,' the price is the first worry, but here you can enjoy the hotel buffet plus a main dish for under ₩30,000 — I loved that. The windows are big so the sunlight comes in nicely during the day, and the tables are spaced generously so it didn't feel cramped. The staff kept checking on the tables and the buffet, and the service was so kind that I was comfortable the whole meal, hehe. It was also nice that they refilled dishes as soon as they emptied. Since Eulji-ro is a neighborhood with a lot of office workers, most lunch spots get pretty hectic during lunch hour, but true to a hotel restaurant, this place lets you eat in a relatively calm setting — that's another plus!! ## What was on the buffet menu The buffet had a variety of warm dishes ready, like chicken, pork, and abalone with shrimp. What I especially liked was that every meat dish had a completely different seasoning. It didn't feel like they just piled on more varieties — it felt like each dish was cooked with individual care, and that came through. I had the udon, and the broth was steeped richly with crab — it was really delicious haha. There were several kinds of sake to pick from according to your taste, and the matcha wasn't just there for show — it had a really rich, delicious flavor~!! Rather than just eating the buffet, having a proper main dish come out separately made the meal feel much more complete. The steak wasn't tough — it was tender and easy to cut, and eating it with the sauce and garnish was delicious! This place is seriously a great spot for Western food in Eulji-ro lol. If you're going for Eulji-ro steak but a single dish alone feels like not enough, this kind of combo works well. The oranges here were super sweet lol. I don't even really like oranges, but I ate five slices here!! Amazing — I chatted a bit over coffee before heading out lol. ## To sum up Above all, being able to enjoy a hotel lunch buffet together with hanger steak for under ₩30,000 seems like the biggest strength of Hotel Kukdo Patio.
