## In short

Sosa Myeonok is a Korean restaurant on Neungdong-ro in Gwangjin, Seoul, near Gunja Station, known for tender bossam (boiled pork wraps) and naengmyeon (cold noodles). A family of three ordered the large bossam and, on the staff's recommendation, wrapped it with kodari muchim (spicy dried pollack), bossam kimchi and radish for a combo that felt almost like samhap. It's a 5–7 minute walk from Children's Grand Park, making it a solid pick for family dinners with kids.

On a weekend evening, while trying to figure out what to eat with my family, Sosa Myeonok came to mind after a while. I'd been there before for lunch with a friend, and the food was good enough that I thought, 'I should come back here again sometime.' 👍

*Sosa Myeonok in Gunja*

This time I went back with my family. It's the kind of place where you can have a meal that feels light but still filling. The food is also quite neat and well put together.

## Sosa Myeonok Gunja Station main branch: location and hours

- Address: 270 Neungdong-ro, 1st floor, Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, South Korea
- Hours: 10:50 – 21:00
- No closed days, no break time
- Parking: about 4 cars can park in front of the restaurant

*There was a private room area toward the back of the restaurant.*

It's fairly close to Gunja Station, and about a 5–7 minute walk from Children's Grand Park, so it's a good spot to eat after visiting the park with kids.

## A soft, clean-tasting bossam spread

We ordered bossam (boiled pork wraps). The charm of Sosa Myeonok's bossam is really the incredibly soft meat.

Bossam can sometimes feel a bit heavy because of the fattiness of the meat, but here it felt clean and light overall, which I liked. The meat is soft and moist, and topping it with the bossam kimchi and radish makes just the right combination!

*Look at that shine on the bossam...! haha*

Personally, this kind of menu is easy to eat as a family. It's not overly spicy or heavy, but thanks to the meat, you feel quite full after eating.

I thought it was a good choice for a weekend dinner.

## What happens if you wrap the bossam with kodari?

But there was something a little special about Sosa Myeonok. When you order bossam, kodari (dried pollack) comes out with it too! The staff recommended wrapping the bossam together with the kodari.

![A bite of bossam topped with kodari muchim and bossam radish](https://img.superchart.com/images/sosa-myeonok-gunja-bossam-kodari/sosa-myeonok-gunja-bossam-kodari-07-e9mzj-900.webp)
*Bossam + kodari muchim + bossam radish, yum!*

At first I was a bit puzzled. 'Bossam together with kodari?' But once I actually made a wrap and tried it... oh wow! I immediately understood why they recommended it.

The soft bossam gets an extra chewy texture and savory depth from the kodari, and adding the bossam kimchi and radish on top completes a pretty delicious combination. Eating them wrapped together was far more fun and tasty than eating the bossam and kodari separately. It felt a bit like enjoying samhap (a three-way food combo) haha.

*Since there were three of us, we ordered the large bossam.*

If it's your first visit, definitely try eating it the way the staff suggests. :)

## A Gunja Korean restaurant with great naengmyeon too

Actually, Sosa Myeonok is also well known for its naengmyeon (cold noodles). I had it the last time I visited for lunch with a friend, and it was really delicious too.

*Even my picky elementary-school-age son ate well!*

This time, unfortunately, I'd already had naengmyeon for lunch, so I didn't order it as a dessert-style noodle course. Still, eating the bossam made me a little wistful about it. Next time I'll properly order both bossam and naengmyeon together. The combination of clean bossam and cool naengmyeon needs no explanation. My next visit's menu is already decided haha.

*The restaurant was fairly spacious.*

## Recommended for family dinners near Children's Grand Park

One reason I especially want to recommend this place is that it's close to Children's Grand Park. After playing at the park, you sometimes struggle to figure out where to eat with your kid. Finding a decent Korean restaurant nearby isn't as easy as you'd think, either.

![Bossam kimchi at Sosa Myeonok](https://img.superchart.com/images/sosa-myeonok-gunja-bossam-kodari/sosa-myeonok-gunja-bossam-kodari-11-1yr18-900.webp)
*The bossam kimchi is really good.*

Sosa Myeonok is about a 5–7 minute walk from Children's Grand Park, so it was easy to get to. The menu is approachable enough for visiting with kids too, making it quite a good family dinner spot. And really, bossam is loved by adults and works well for kids too, so it seems very well suited for family visitors. A few parking spots are available in front, which is worth noting if you're coming by car.

## Looking for a filling meal in Gunja

This visit wasn't my first — it was already my second. It reaffirmed that a place you think 'I should come back to' really is worth coming back to.

![Two types of dipping sauce served with bossam](https://img.superchart.com/images/sosa-myeonok-gunja-bossam-kodari/sosa-myeonok-gunja-bossam-kodari-12-e2cw3-900.webp)
*There aren't separate basic side dishes, just two kinds of sauce.*

Soft, clean-tasting bossam with savory bossam kimchi and radish, plus the surprising combination with kodari. And on top of that, the naengmyeon is delicious too, so there's a wide range of menu options.

> If you're looking for a good restaurant near Gunja Station, or a place to eat after visiting Children's Grand Park, I recommend Sosa Myeonok!

If you're like me and want a day that's 'not too heavy, but still filling,' how about a bossam spread? Next time I'd like to try the mandu-guk (dumpling soup) and perilla oil noodles too. Yum. 😊
