That distinctive Deungchon atmosphere welcomed me. I love the clean exterior. The waiting bench and plants next to the entrance put me at ease! Luckily we arrived before opening so we could sit right down without waiting, haha. It's moderately spicy but not overwhelming, and the broth pairs beautifully with the ingredients! I piled beef and minari kimchi onto a spoon and took a big bite! Freshly made kimchi with shabu-shabu is a combo you just can't give up, haha. The sharp kick of the kimchi lifts the flavor of the meat even higher, and I couldn't stop reaching for more! ## Kalguksu noodles, dumpling add-ons and the fried rice finish We dropped the kalguksu noodles and dumplings into the pot and let them simmer! There's a bit of a patience game waiting for the noodles to soak up the broth and go plump and chewy, lol.
