## In short

Jeju Eunhuine Haejangguk Suwon Ingye Branch is a gukbap (rice-and-soup) restaurant in Ingye-dong, Suwon, one minute from Exit 8 of Suwon City Hall Station. Remembering the original branch from eight years of living in Jeju, the writer ordered haejangguk (basic) with a side of dombe pork to cure the previous night's drinking, and found free extra rice, wide gaps between tables and a coffee machine after the meal. Jeju Eunhuine Haejangguk Suwon Ingye Branch is an easy, filling lunch near Suwon City Hall Station, solo diners included.

## Gukbap near Suwon City Hall Station: haejangguk and dombe pork at Jeju Eunhuine Haejangguk Suwon Ingye Branch

Recommending a lunch spot for hangover soup near Suwon City Hall Station! Today I had haejangguk (hangover soup) with dombe pork for lunch at Jeju Eunhuine Haejangguk Suwon Ingye Branch, a great gukbap restaurant in Ingye-dong, Suwon!

![Table setting of haejangguk and dombe pork at Jeju Eunhuine Haejangguk Suwon Ingye Branch](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwon-city-hall-jeju-eunhee-haejangguk/suwon-city-hall-jeju-eunhee-haejangguk-01-baex2-900.webp)

So I actually lived in Jeju for 8 years~ There was a branch near my house that I passed by all the time, and every time I did I used to think, why on earth would people wait in line just to eat hangover soup, these people are wild ,, but then I tried it once and started dropping by whenever I craved it, at times when there was no waiting line haha

Seeing the Jeju Eunhuine Haejangguk sign again after a while brought back those memories, so I went straight in! I'd had drinks the night before too and was really craving a hangover cure. It's great for a hearty lunch too, so there was no reason not to go in.

Always a generous portion, a deep broth full of history, and tender meat — this was the perfect hangover soup lunch spot near Suwon City Hall Station.

## What I ordered: haejangguk (basic) and dombe pork

![Table with haejangguk (basic) and dombe pork placed together](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwon-city-hall-jeju-eunhee-haejangguk/suwon-city-hall-jeju-eunhee-haejangguk-02-1fhkp-900.webp)

> Haejangguk (basic) + dombe pork

If you like blood cubes (seonji), it comes as standard, and if you don't, you can ask to leave it out, which I liked. I was fine with it so I just ordered as-is. On top of that, I was so happy to see dombe pork again — a Jeju-style boiled pork similar to jjukku — that I added it on!

![Plate of dombe pork served with dipping sauce](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwon-city-hall-jeju-eunhee-haejangguk/suwon-city-hall-jeju-eunhee-haejangguk-03-11tdf-900.webp)

### Dombe pork: Jeju pork belly simmered in a 12-ingredient broth

I ate the dombe pork first. Honestly, the visual alone was sexy. It looked soft and moist ,, I dipped it into the sauce and popped it straight in my mouth, and it was so tender it reminded me of gogi guksu (meat noodle soup) — felt like I was back in Jeju.

And honestly this isn't an exaggeration — apparently it's clean Jeju pork belly boiled in a broth made from 12 ingredients. It really makes a difference .. that's a line I remember seeing quite often at the original branch in Jeju too haha

It goes really well with soju, so if this were dinner instead of lunch, there'd be nothing better as a drinking snack~

### Inside the haejangguk (basic): what's in the bowl and how the broth tastes

This is Jeju Eunhuine Haejangguk's signature dish, the haejangguk (basic). It comes packed with toppings (?) right from the start — blood cubes, meat, bean sprouts, glass noodles, green onion, ugeoji (dried napa cabbage leaves), and more...

![A bowl of haejangguk (basic) with blood cubes and ugeoji](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwon-city-hall-jeju-eunhee-haejangguk/suwon-city-hall-jeju-eunhee-haejangguk-06-2dl8e-900.webp)

The hot broth warmed my body up and gave me a real boost of energy. Personally, I love dunking rice into the broth, taking a bite with the meat, then slurping up the glass noodles — it makes me so happy. Maybe because it had been a while, it all felt so nostalgic and dear, so many memories came flooding back, I nearly teared up~

![Glass noodles and meat lifted out of the haejangguk](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwon-city-hall-jeju-eunhee-haejangguk/suwon-city-hall-jeju-eunhee-haejangguk-08-2sdhw-900.webp)

Chili flakes and kkakdugi (radish kimchi) get refilled too, and best of all, free rice refills — that's the kind of warmth that makes us Koreans, who live by rice power, feel taken care of~

![Refillable side dishes of chili flakes and kkakdugi](https://img.superchart.com/images/suwon-city-hall-jeju-eunhee-haejangguk/suwon-city-hall-jeju-eunhee-haejangguk-09-1kjo0-900.webp)

Finally, I finished things off properly with a cup of Mireukkeu coffee! Sipping coffee near Suwon City Hall Station with a dol hareubang (Jeju stone grandfather statue) nearby felt strangely nostalgic haha

### Wide gaps between tables make solo dining easy

The interior was really spacious, which I liked. The gaps between tables were so generous it almost felt like a private room? Thanks to that, it's a great recommendation for a solo lunch near Suwon City Hall Station! It also works great for family meals, a couple's hangover cure, or a hearty meal with coworkers.

There was a baby chair too, and the coffee machine really wins over us adults~ Eat, sip some coffee, then a smoke ㅋㅑ~ though I'm actually a non-smoker myself.
