We arrived a bit late for lunch, so by the time we finished and left the crowd had thinned out, but when we went in it was completely full.. So we waited about 10 minutes before getting a table! I guess it's because there are a lot of offices nearby, plus the Songpa-gu public health center and the Bangi-dong restaurant alley, so a lot of people come here!! Honestly, it's a great spot to come for dinner or a hangover cure after drinks in the Bangi-dong restaurant alley, and the location is also perfect for breakfast if you're staying at the Signiel or Sofitel hotel haha. The basic sides were the usual ones you'd find at a gukbap restaurant, and the kkakdugi (diced radish kimchi) passed the test haha. A gukbap restaurant's kkakdugi absolutely cannot be bad!! ### Side dish 1. It was such a low-pressure price for a side dish, and it perked up your appetite so nicely alongside the gukbap. It was tasty with a bit on top of a piece of meat, and it went well with rice too!! More tangy — like chojang (vinegared chili sauce) — than spicy, this pollack salad was. ### Side dish 2. With a subtle smoky char and a sweet sauce base, it went really well with the gukbap. Personally, on this day the fire-grilled pork paired even better with the gukbap than the pollack salad..! The photo shows it with about half the chili paste taken out?? But seriously, this place is confirmed a gukbap must-visit. I get why there's a wait. Mixing rice into the broth and eating it with a piece of pork jowl was truly a delicacy haha😭 The broth had that deeply steeped flavor, so rich and perfect for a hangover cure!!! Eating it together with the pollack sashimi salad side we ordered was such a great combo haha. Ordering both let us have fun comparing the tender texture of the pork jowl against the clean flavor of the regular boiled pork!!✌🏻😆 ## Overall review If you want a gukbap with a rich, deeply steeped broth and a generous amount of meat, I recommend this place without hesitation!! The pork jowl gukbap had that signature chewy, tender flavor of pork jowl, and the regular pork gukbap was great for enjoying a hearty amount of clean-tasting meat! It's great for a day when you want a filling meal, great for a morning when you're craving warm gukbap, and great when you're looking for a place to cure a hangover after drinks in Bangi-dong! Oh, and the parking!! haha Parking is so convenient too, which makes me recommend it even more haha.
