I first tried it a year ago, and today I had business in Jongno so I revisited with a fluttering heart. Come out of Exit 7 of Jongno 3(sam)-ga Station and go straight — you'll find it right away! 🚶‍♂️💨 Jongmyo Shrine is right nearby, so it's the perfect spot to stop and pack some delicious bread before enjoying a walk through Jongmyo. Since the pre-packaged bread can be grabbed and paid for right away, it seems like it would keep things moving quickly and smoothly even during busy hours. Munhwa Bakery holds a strict policy of only selling bread baked that same day, so whatever bread you pick up, you get that same freshly-baked, moist, soft texture and rich flavor. When you go on a lot of bakery tours, you often find places that claim 'same-day baking' but still feel dry — this place is clearly different, fresh down to the texture of the bread. And apparently, any bread that doesn't sell that day goes to children who don't get enough meals and elderly people living alone~! This place is just so, so likeable?!
