For me, it rinsed away without residue and left a fresh finish. I also did not experience the stinging or dryness I sometimes feel with strongly cleansing products, and my skin felt less tight even before applying toner.

It was nice to use on dry-weather days when tightness after cleansing was on my mind. Since it is a balm, I thought it would be less likely to leak if I packed it for travel, and its subtle scent also felt relaxing while using it.
