## What kind of place is The Taco Booth in Gojan-dong, Ansan?

The Taco Booth Ansan Gojan Branch is a taco restaurant on the 1st floor of 56 Gwangdeokseo-ro, Danwon-gu, Ansan-si, Gyeonggi-do. I went because I wanted something a bit different to eat in Gojan-dong, Ansan. I already like tacos, so I went in with expectations — but this visit turned out even more satisfying than I imagined, and it stuck with me.

## Inside The Taco Booth: the Statue of Liberty mural

The first thing that caught my eye walking in was definitely the exotic atmosphere. It felt distinctly different from a regular restaurant — from the Statue of Liberty painted on the wall to the taco-themed artwork and English phrases scattered everywhere, there was a lot of fun in just looking around.

That said, it wasn't heavy or fancy — the overall feel was casual and free, easy to eat in comfortably. It seemed like a great spot for a casual meal with friends, or for a date with something a bit different on the menu.

I also heard that The Taco Booth had been featured on TV. At first I just thought, 'oh, it must be famous since it was on TV,' but after tasting the food myself, I sort of understood why it got featured.

## What comes with the 42,500 won NY Taco Platter?

What we ordered that day was the NY Taco Platter! It costs ₩42,500. When the platter arrived, the spread was more substantial than I expected. Several kinds of tacos came together, with a generous pile of fries in the middle. The tacos were piled high with vegetables, tomatoes, and onions, looking delicious. Lime came alongside too, so you could add it to your own taste.

At first I thought it'd be fun to compare each variety one by one, but once I actually started eating, every single one tasted good enough that I kept reaching for more.

What I especially liked was that the distinctly exotic taco flavor came through clearly, with zero sense of resistance. Mexican food can feel a bit intimidating to people unused to the spices or the distinctive smell. But the tacos here, while keeping that exotic character, had such good overall balance of flavors that I could eat them very comfortably.

### Two sauces for the tacos and the fries

With meat and vegetables together, the texture was great, and the tomato and onion kept it from feeling greasy. It wasn't a 'one bite and done' kind of taste — it was the kind that kept pulling me back for more.

And the two sauces that came with it were really good too. We tried both, and each had its own charm. The tacos already had plenty of flavor on their own, but dipping them in sauce gave a whole different feel, so we kept alternating dips. Dipping the tacos in sauce, then dipping the fries too, we ended up finishing almost all of the sauce as well.

## Is the NY Taco Platter enough for two people?

Honestly, when the platter first arrived, it looked like a lot, and I thought, 'can we really finish all this?' But funnily enough, it just kept going down. Haha. One taco, then some fries, then another kind of taco, alternating with the sauces — before we knew it, the plate was emptying out. In the end, we really scraped it clean and finished everything.

Finishing it all without leaving anything behind really shows how well the food suited us this visit. It was exotic food, but never felt like a burden — instead, it blended well with familiar ingredients and was genuinely delicious.

It also looked pretty in photos, but the colors were even nicer in person than in pictures — fun to photograph too. With green vegetables, tomatoes, onions, and golden-brown tacos together, the platter itself looked quite full and vibrant.

## Is The Taco Booth worth a trip for tacos in Ansan?

Personally, I've been to places like this where the vibe is exotic but the food itself is just so-so — so I was glad that here, the food was genuinely delicious too. I visited after hearing it had been on TV, but after eating it myself, I thought it's not just famous because of the TV feature — people probably come because the food itself is good.

Especially for people like us who want to try several kinds at once, the NY Taco Platter seems like a solid choice. You get to experience a variety of flavors rather than sticking to just one kind of taco, plus fries on the side — good for sharing between two people.

Above all, what I liked most about this meal was that it was 'exotic, but delicious.' It's not a flavor so unfamiliar that it's polarizing — even someone trying tacos for the first time could eat it fairly comfortably. At the same time, it had a clearly different mood and taste from what I normally eat, which made for a nice change of pace.

The restaurant's atmosphere had so much character that it was fun to look around while eating. The wall art and props all matched the taco-shop vibe well, making it good for photos and comfortable for chatting with friends over a meal.

The NY Taco Platter we had this time was ₩42,500 — considering it's a menu meant for two people to share several kinds of tacos together, we were quite satisfied. If you're craving something different from your usual rotation in Gojan-dong, Ansan, and want somewhere with an exotic atmosphere too, this is worth a visit. We enjoyed it so much this time that if we go again, I'd like to try other menu items too.

> It looked like a lot at first, but we ended up scraping even the sauce clean. That one line pretty much sums up how this visit went. Haha.

A place worth stopping by whenever you're craving tacos in Ansan — The Taco Booth Ansan Gojan Branch. If you want to properly enjoy delicious tacos in an exotic atmosphere, it's worth a visit.
