## In short

Joseph Therapfit Posture Analysis & Corrective Exercise Center is a posture-analysis and corrective exercise center on the 5th floor of Sinbong Jonghap Sangga on Sinbong 1-ro, Suji-gu, Yongin. After long hours of hunched studying left the writer's partner with rounded shoulders and text neck, a self-check, a consultation and a photo reference-point posture analysis confirmed text neck, forward head posture and a tilted pelvis, followed by corrective exercises that released the pectoralis minor and iliopsoas. One visit will not fix everything, but Joseph Therapfit makes your body's imbalances concrete and teaches you how to manage them.

Hi everyone :) Today's post is a little different — I'm sharing my partner's story.

My partner spends a lot of time studying, usually hunched over a desk. Lately that posture had been catching up with them, and they kept complaining about discomfort in their neck and shoulders.

Rather than just treating the discomfort as it came up at a clinic, I thought it made more sense to actually check their overall posture and alignment. So we decided to get a proper posture analysis and learn corrective methods suited to their current condition.

After looking around, we ended up visiting Joseph Therapfit Posture Analysis & Corrective Exercise Center, which had great reviews for posture analysis and corrective exercise. From here on, I'll hand it over to my partner to share what they saw, heard, and felt firsthand!

## Turtle neck and forward shoulders: why I went to Joseph Therapfit

Hi, I'm the one who actually went through this. I've always had somewhat forward shoulders and a turtle neck. Sitting and studying for long stretches put a lot of strain on my neck and shoulders, and I'd often wake up feeling stiff and uncomfortable in both areas.

But I never really knew exactly which part of my body was the problem, or why I kept feeling this discomfort. So I decided to take this chance to get a clear picture of my actual condition, and that's how I ended up at Joseph Therapfit.

From the first visit, the exterior of the center already looked clean and well-kept. The interior was tidy throughout too, and the whole atmosphere made it easy to relax during the consultation and posture analysis.

## Inside the center — changing room, waiting area, and exercise space

There was a space to rest, and the changing room was neatly equipped too.

The waiting area was set up comfortably as well!

Further inside, there was a dedicated space where the actual corrective exercises take place. It didn't feel like just a workout room — more like a place designed around analyzing your posture and then matching the exercise to those results.

## Day 1 — self-diagnosis and lifestyle consultation

On the first day at Joseph Therapfit, we didn't jump straight into exercise. Instead, I started with a posture self-diagnosis test — checking which imbalances I was already aware of and how much discomfort I was feeling from them, which helped map out my current condition more specifically.

![Lifestyle consultation with the trainer](https://img.superchart.com/images/joseph-therafit-forward-head-posture-yongin/joseph-therafit-forward-head-posture-yongin-07-q58au-900.webp)

It wasn't just the self-diagnosis — I also had a detailed consultation with the trainer. We talked specifically about my usual posture habits, which areas bothered me, and when the discomfort was worst. It actually made me think back on postures I'd been repeating without even noticing.

After the consultation, the real posture analysis began. Watching the trainer carefully examine my muscles and joints through various movements, drawing on real expertise, gave me a lot of confidence in the process haha. Day one focused on my basic overall condition, and the most striking part of the analysis was learning that the body doesn't move in separate, isolated parts — everything is connected.

I was told that when one part of the body loses its balance, other parts can start compensating by moving differently. That's when I understood why it's important to look at your whole posture and movement pattern, not just the one area that feels uncomfortable.

It took about a week to get the full posture analysis results. In the meantime, I practiced the stretches and bed-setting exercises the trainer gave me before the next session. Posture photos start from here!!

## Day 2 — forward head, turtle neck, and pelvic tilt, seen through reference-point photos

From day two, the analysis moved into real, data-based territory.

![Posture analysis photo with body reference points marked](https://img.superchart.com/images/joseph-therafit-forward-head-posture-yongin/joseph-therafit-forward-head-posture-yongin-09-150gf-900.webp)

By setting reference points on each part of my body and comparing them against normal standards, I could see exactly where my body was misaligned, where the imbalances were, and how my joints were positioned — all through photos. When I looked in a mirror at home, I just figured my posture was a bit off. But seeing it mapped out with reference points on photos showed me, in much more concrete detail than I expected, what state my body was actually in.

![Analysis results showing forward head posture, turtle neck, and rounded shoulders](https://img.superchart.com/images/joseph-therafit-forward-head-posture-yongin/joseph-therafit-forward-head-posture-yongin-10-si0of-900.webp)

In my case, both forward head posture and turtle neck showed up in my neck, and my shoulders were quite rounded forward as well. My pelvis also turned out to be tilted to one side. I used to think my neck and shoulder discomfort was just a neck problem or just a shoulder problem, but being able to see my overall alignment through the analysis was especially eye-opening.

## Exercises matched to my posture — releasing the pectoralis minor and massaging the iliopsoas

After the analysis wrapped up, I moved on to corrective exercises tailored to my actual condition. I followed stretches designed to release the tightness related to my rounded shoulders and loosen up the shortened muscles.

There was something new I learned here too. I'd always assumed stretching was basically the same for everyone, but I was told that the specific movements and stretching methods can change depending on your body type. It made me realize that following a stretch blindly isn't as effective as knowing exactly what your body needs first.

On day two after the analysis, I worked on releasing my tight pectoralis minor to help open up my rounded shoulders, along with massaging my iliopsoas. Comparing the exercises from day one with what I did on day two, I could really feel the difference in how my body moved.

> Checking the results for myself — before and after

The most surprising moment was trying the same posture from day one again. Movements that had felt awkward at first felt noticeably more natural by day two. Comparing the exact same motion side by side, I could actually see the difference in range of motion and body balance — it was pretty amazing.

My tilted neck and the shoulder line that dropped lower on one side both actually improved.

As the rounded shoulders and hunched back — the main causes of my neck and shoulder pain — improved, the pain temporarily eased up too haha.

## What I took away from the two-day experience

I don't think this one experience completely fixed my body or solved every issue. But it was a meaningful time in that I got to pinpoint exactly what's going on with my body right now and learn what areas I need to keep managing going forward. What I liked most was that it wasn't just exercising at the center — I actually learned how to manage things in my everyday life afterward.

Going through this posture analysis showed me that what I assumed was wrong with my body and what was actually confirmed could be quite different. What stood out most was getting a concrete look at my body's imbalances through the analysis, and then doing corrective exercises based specifically on those results.

Rather than just being told to "sit up straight," having my actual condition checked first and then being given a method suited to that was personally really satisfying.

## Who I'd recommend this to

- Anyone who sits for long hours studying or using a computer
- Anyone who often has neck or shoulder discomfort
- Anyone who feels their posture is off to one side
- Anyone who keeps feeling discomfort in a specific area during exercise

If you're curious about the state of your own posture, or want to figure out where your discomfort is actually coming from, starting with a proper check of your current condition at Joseph Therapfit Posture Analysis & Corrective Exercise Center might be a good place to begin.
