## Deciding where to take the family for dinner near Jungja Station

Ever get stuck trying to pick a place the whole family can enjoy?

While looking for somewhere everyone could eat comfortably, we visited Morang Haemul Sotbap Jungja Station branch, a well-known sotbap (hot stone pot rice) restaurant near Jungja Station :) The youngest ordered bulgogi sotbap, Dad had seafood sotbap, and my eldest daughter went for eel sotbap! Everyone picked according to their own taste, and we had a proper warm pot rice meal together.

It's about a 5-minute walk from Exit 5 of Jungja Station. No worries if you're driving either — the building's underground parking lot gives you 3 hours free. Take the elevator up to the 2nd floor and the restaurant is right there, easy to find.

We visited on a weekday evening at 7pm. Walking in, the space was huge. The interior felt upscale too, so my mood lifted the moment we stepped in. There was plenty of group seating, which would make it a great spot for a company dinner as well.

### What the Naver reservation seats are like: a private room of your own

One side of Morang Haemul Sotbap Jungja Station branch has separate reservation seating. It's set up like an enclosed private space, perfect for chatting quietly with friends. We had made a Naver Reservation, so we got seated there. If you book ahead, you can enjoy your meal comfortably in a good spot.

As soon as we sat down, barley water was already waiting on the table. I actually prefer barley water to plain water. This kind of small touch made me feel like they really paid attention to the details — it warmed my heart a little.

Morang Haemul Sotbap says it cooks its rice with grains milled within 7 days and broth simmered fresh every day. The food arrived in warm stone pots, and just looking at it felt satisfying. With bulgogi, seafood, and eel sotbap all on the menu, it was perfect for a family dinner.

### The menu at Morang Haemul Sotbap: sotbap, jeon and makgeolli

The menu at Morang Haemul Sotbap Jungja Station branch centers on sotbap. They also have savory pancakes (jeon), other side dishes, and makgeolli (rice wine), so it works well just for a meal, or paired as anju (drinking snacks) for an evening gathering. Since it was a family meal for us, we filled up on the pot rice.

A big scallop sitting on top of the seafood sotbap caught my eye. One bite and it was incredibly tender. Eaten together with the warm rice, it felt twice as satisfying. If your family loves seafood, you have to try the seafood sotbap.

The eel sotbap my eldest daughter ordered had eel that melted the moment it hit her mouth. It would be great on a day when you need an energy boost. Apparently the popular combination is a bit of pickled ginger on top of the eel sotbap. It also comes with basic side dishes and soup, making it a satisfying full table. Living up to its reputation as a well-known sotbap restaurant near Jungja Station, the eel sotbap was excellent too.

### ☕ Coffee after dinner near Jungja Station

Thanks to the 3 hours of free parking, we finished up with a cup of coffee at a nearby café after the meal. Not being rushed for time made the whole outing feel much more relaxed.
