It was not merely hot and harsh; the spicy broth had a refreshing, savory depth, so I kept going back for more~ They say the jjamppong is made with 100% Korean chili powder and low-temperature-aged noodles! Maybe that is why the noodles were soft and wonderfully chewy, while the broth was warming and spicy. It was also packed with fresh seafood, including squid and mussels!
