# Paju café with spoon-soft ripened mango and purée: Fruit Forest

I went to Fruit Forest, the hottest fruit dessert café in Simhaksan where new spots keep popping up~ Here's my Paju mango bingsu review 🫰

## Where is Fruit Forest Paju Direct Store, and is there parking?

Fruit Forest Paju Direct Store is a standalone 3-floor café building at 144 Dolgoji-gil, Paju-si, Gyeonggi-do, inside the Simhaksan food street. It's open year-round from 10:00 to 21:00, and parking is available on the 1st floor of the building.

## Inside the 2nd floor: window seats and a tower of ripening mangoes

As soon as you go up to the 2nd floor of Fruit Forest, it feels like a fruit wonderland with all kinds of fruit displayed. There was melon, peach, watermelon, orange and more, but...

the fruit taking up the most space was mango, ripening away 🤗 Just looking at that pretty yellow was healing in itself 💛

and the interior had windows that let in great sunlight,

with tables spread out widely. There were also sofa seats visible along one wall...

Through the window, Paju Lotte Outlet was right there in view... a great spot to stop by after shopping.

## Fruit Forest menu and how we ordered the mango bingsu

The menu at Fruit Forest Paju Direct Store ranges from injeolmi red bean bingsu to mango, peach, melon, and fig bingsu, plus a 10-fruit mixed bingsu, fresh fruit juice, and a bit of coffee and tea. As dessert menu items at this Simhaksan café,

there was injeolmi red bean bingsu, mango, peach, melon, fig, the 10-fruit mixed bingsu, fresh fruit juice, and a bit of coffee and tea as well.

And as a fall new menu item, there was a Basque cheesecake baked fresh in-store, offered as a dessert. Since this place is famous as a Paju mango bingsu spot, we ordered the mango bingsu.

## What comes with the fresh mango bingsu at Fruit Forest

Fruit Forest's mango bingsu came out about 1.5 to 2 times bigger than the usual mango bingsu you see, topped with one and a half whole fresh mangoes. A serving bowl and mango purée were provided alongside. Such an incredible-looking mango bingsu arrived~

A bingsu 1.5, maybe 2 times bigger than the one we knew!! Finish it and you're seriously full~

Given the price point, the fresh mango itself was massive too, and the portion was a full one and a half mangoes~

### How good was the ripened fresh mango?

First, the deep yellow mango! Not a single bit of fibrous texture caught in the mango — soft enough to slice through with just a spoon!!

The most properly ripened bingsu I've ever had? My husband said it was so good he felt bad for our mango-loving son who couldn't come along 🤣🤣🤣

Besides the mango, the ice cream and cheese cubes on top were harmonious too. Sometimes ice cream has that fridge smell, but there was none of that here at all.

### The shaved ice and the side of mango purée

On top of that, the ice granules that looked no different from other bingsu shops at first glance!! Not plain milk, but sweet~

Like most bingsu, it was shaped like spun thread, but compared to other places, you could feel the form more clearly in your mouth, giving a fluffy, snow-like texture that melted away~ This alone was delicious to eat.

You know how sometimes you end up eating all the mango first and then it's a shame to just have ice left? But with the Paju mango bingsu, no worries even after finishing the mango~ Eating it together with the purée, there's zero regret at all. It didn't taste artificial — seemed truly made from fresh mango.. 👍

Just a different state but equally delicious, so we scraped the bowl clean to the very end~ Meeting the ice, it freezes slightly and gets even more delicious!!

## Final verdict: how many people should share one bingsu?

The mango bingsu at Fruit Forest Paju Direct Store had excellent fruit quality to match its price point — a real Paju mango bingsu destination. It would be perfect for 3–4 people to visit, share the bingsu, and order a couple of coffees together~

And besides bingsu, there's a wide variety of fresh fruit juices too, so it'd be great for anyone looking for a healthier drink! Open even during Chuseok holidays with no closures — visiting with family here is a guaranteed hit!!
