While looking for a Gangneung Korean restaurant that's good to visit with kids, I fell for the neat, well-composed set table and chose this place. Saimdang Bueok has its own parking lot right in front of the restaurant, so even a beginner driver could park comfortably. Inside Saimdang Bueok, the tables are spaced widely apart so you can dine privately, and plenty of baby chairs are on hand. The wide gap between tables meant we could enjoy a private meal without bumping into other guests — a big plus. Plenty of baby chairs were ready too, making it an ideal environment to visit with kids. ## Saimhansang set at 19,000 won, with seaweed soup and added sundubu Saimdang Bueok's signature menu, Saimhansang, is ₩19,000, and I ordered it with miyeok-guk (seaweed soup) included for the kids. The braised pollock was delicious, though no refills were offered. All the side dishes served with the set were clean and tasty. To go through them one by one — first, the braised pollock was delicious, but no refills. Saimdang Bueok is a restaurant that won't disappoint whoever you bring, thanks to its neat food composition plus a spacious parking lot and a pleasant interior. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants Korean food that's not overly seasoned but full of care, and to families who want a comfortable, clean meal with kids.
