Whenever I travel to Gangneung, I always end up checking out a café near Chodang-dong. There are so many famous cafés in Chodang-dong that I had a hard time choosing, but in the end I went with Coffee Dripper, where I could enjoy dessert at a relaxed pace. It wasn't awkward at all going solo — honestly it was the perfect place to spend some leisurely time alone! If you want to enjoy both the café atmosphere and dessert together, this place is a must :)

The space itself is clean but warm, with plants and wood tones blended together, and the natural light pouring in through the floor-to-ceiling windows keeps the interior from feeling stuffy — it feels wide open ♡

This is a great spot to sit at a window table and just zone out haha. There were more tables than I expected too, so there's plenty of seating and it feels spacious.

Coffee Dripper's drink menu includes the Dripper signature cream latte, Dripper house blend, Americano, milk soft serve, forêt noire choco latte, and Dripper homemade patbingsu (shaved ice dessert). There were so many signature items I wanted to try them all, but ㅠㅠ after all the walking I'd done, sweet ice cream won out!

The outside is slightly crisp and toasty from the pastry baking, while the inside gets softer and flakier. Add the sweet richness of the chocolate on top, and any bread lover would go weak in the knees ☆
