On days when you're craving meat, you skip the overthinking and just go find somewhere good, right? This time, after a long search, I ended up at Ssosam 208 Siheung Baegot Branch.

Walking inside, the place was bigger and cleaner than I expected, which made a great first impression. The tables were spaced generously, so it stayed comfortable throughout the meal, and I noticed a lot of families dining there too.

## What comes with the Ogamdong Set and jewel green pork?

After a lot of deliberating over the Ssosam menu, I went with the Ogamdong Set with jeweled greenhouse pork. It comes with pork belly, pork neck, and pork jowl together, so I liked being able to try several cuts at once. The portion was pretty generous for three women to share.

But honestly, the rice noodle soup that came complimentary caught my eye first. This was the first BBQ place I've been to that gives you rice noodle soup as a default side, and I was pleasantly surprised. I like rice noodle soup anyway, so I pretty much finished the whole bowl, hehe. Perfect for nibbling on while waiting for the meat.

### Charcoal-seared pork grilled tableside by Ssosam 208 staff

The meat comes pre-grilled over charcoal, and a staff member grills it the whole way through for you. Thanks to that, all I had to do was chat and eat comfortably.

They timed the grilling perfectly and cut everything into bite-size pieces, which made it taste even better, I think.

A BBQ place where they grill it for you is just so convenient and delicious, isn't it?? 💚 How are they so good at grilling meat? Amazing 👍👍 That kind of service really boosts satisfaction.

## How did the pork belly, neck and jowl taste?

Once the meat was fully cooked, I started with the pork belly — great juiciness and a really chewy texture.

The pork neck was soft and mild, and the pork jowl had a nice nutty flavor — each of the three had a different charm. It made for a combo where I kept switching between them without meaning to.

We also added minari (water dropwort), and as always, minari with pork belly is a can't-miss combo.

It smelled great and cut through the richness, so I kept reaching for it.

They also grill bean sprouts and kimchi alongside the meat, and topping the meat with nicely browned kimchi was such a great match 👍

Wrapping the meat in myeongi-namul (wild garlic leaves) was tasty, wrapping it in lettuce was tasty, and with all the different sauces, there was a lot of fun in the eating. The lettuce was so fresh too!

We also ordered a steamed egg — it had a soft, fluffy texture and was seasoned just right, so it paired well with the meat. Taking a spoonful between bites of meat was a great combo. Honestly, everything was delicious!!!

## Terra non-alcoholic beer and cheese fried rice to finish

As we ate, I started craving a drink, and since my friends had driven, I held back... but then I saw they had Terra non-alcoholic beer??? That's actually my favorite non-alcoholic beer, hehe ><

A lot of places don't even sell non-alcoholic beer, so I really appreciated that too.

We finished up with an order of cheese fried rice — even while saying we were full, it somehow kept going in.

Eating meat and then fried rice on top made for a really satisfying meal. We had it as a late lunch and I wasn't hungry again until dinner.

The staff were friendly and attentive throughout the meal, so it felt comfortable the whole time, and the meat was grilled so well that it was a satisfying meal overall.

If I have a craving for meat in Baegot again, I think I'll come back. It seemed like a great spot for family dinners, friend get-togethers, and also for anyone looking for somewhere to eat after a Siheung Premium Outlets date.
