Today I'm introducing Eolkeuni Gamjatang Samgyeopsal in Bupyeong, a newly opened spot in the food alley that's become a hot 24-hour gamjatang bar around Bupyeong Station. For anyone curious, I'll walk through the interior vibe and give an honest taste review of the Eolgamsam set!

Coming out of Bupyeong Station Exit 7 toward the north plaza, it's just across one crosswalk from the Olive Young — easy to spot.

The standing sign out front caught my eye — it says gamjatang (pork bone stew) is free if you order meat. There were also a lot of other menu items listed, like fire-grilled bone ribs and stone-pot bone stew, which got me even more excited.

## Inside Eolkeuni on a Thursday at 8pm: seating and atmosphere

We visited around 8pm on a Thursday, and since it's open 24 hours, the place was packed no matter what time it was.

The entrance area had its doors open, giving off an outdoor-tent (yajang) feel that's great in cool weather, and there was a big TV on the wall too, perfect for catching a game while having a drink.

## What comes in the 49,000-won Eolgamsam set for two?

The main set is Eolgamsam (gamjatang + pork belly + choice of kimchi jeon, shrimp jeon or beef tartare), at 49,000 won for 2, 59,000 won for 3, and 69,000 won for 4. À la carte and side items include about 30 dishes — bone soup, stews, spicy pork rice bowl, bibimbap, naengmyeon, grilled meats (pork belly, makchang, squid, beef brisket), bone dishes (grilled & braised), jeon, yukhoe, fried egg, sul-bap, suyuk and dumplings.

What surprised me was that each table has its own drink fridge — instead of ordering drinks separately, you just grab a bottle right there, ice-cold, and pay for what you took when you leave.

### Side dishes and self-bar refills at Eolkeuni

Next came the basic side dishes — well-aged seokbakji (radish kimchi), stir-fried fish cake, stir-fried zucchini, lettuce wraps, garlic, chili peppers, and dipping sauce.

All the side dishes can be freely refilled at the self-bar — press the machine and you can request refills of the soup broth, the bean sprout salad that goes with the meat, and kimchi separately. Nice touch ♡

## Honest taste review 🐖 gamjatang, pork belly and yukhoe on one table

Then came the generous spread of gamjatang, beef tartare and pork belly — each table has both a grill plate for cooking meat and a burner for the stew, so it kept simmering as we ate.

The meat came as chilled thin-sliced pork belly and thick-cut pork belly, 150g each, with a whole piece of aged kimchi, plus freshly mixed bean sprout salad and scallion salad piled high on top.

The amazing part was that the owner personally torched the meat quickly and cut it into bite-sized pieces for us, so there was less waiting and it cooked fast — loved that.

Ah — piling all the toppings on and taking a big bite, the thin slices tasted like they were made for soju! The thick slices tasted like they wanted to be eaten with rice — each had its own charm, I think?

Now let's try the stew. Four plump meaty bone pieces with enoki mushrooms, napa cabbage greens and bean sprouts — the quality was art, honestly.

The broth had about a Shin Ramyun level of spicy kick but stayed clean, the bean sprouts were super refreshing, and there was no gamey pork smell at all — I liked that.

Every so often — cheers! Pulling the soju straight out of the table's drink fridge, it was so cold there was actual ice slush floating in it. Loved that!

Last, the beef tartare came topped with sprouts and an egg yolk in the middle, tossed in a sesame-studded sauce — sweet and soft in texture, it just melted in my mouth.
