It had been a while, so we went out for a family dinner with my brother-in-law's family.
Four adults and two kids, six of us total, went together.
It's pretty close to Sinheung Station, so it's a good spot for people who live nearby like us to walk to!
We actually walked there since it was close by.
Since there's no parking at the restaurant, if you're driving, using the public parking lot nearby should work.

## Inside Musoettuk Samgyeop: seating and an 8pm visit

Musoettuk Samgyeop Sinheung Station Branch felt open overall, not cramped. The restaurant isn't huge, but it can seat up to 46 people, with room for up to 20 to sit together : D
We sat at a combined 2-seat and 4-seat table!
We went after 8pm, when most of the dinner crowd had already thinned out, but there were still plenty of customers.
Definitely a well-known samgyeopsal spot in Seongnam 👍

There were celebrity autographs on the wall, so I looked it up and found out this place has been featured on TV.
It wasn't the Sinheung branch but the original location in Sangdaewon that was featured — still, knowing it had been on TV made me even more excited.

### When to order more meat: at the halfway point

Once you order, they grill it up right away.
Since it takes about 15 minutes after ordering, if you're planning to order more, put in the order once you're about 50% through so the flow doesn't get interrupted!

The basic setup comes with lettuce wraps, shredded scallions, sauces, whole garlic, and three kinds of pickles — a full table, and even this basic spread looked upscale and pretty.

The moment the food arrived, what caught my eye first wasn't the taste but the plating.
As you can see in the photo, the meat is lined up neatly around the edge of the grill, with kimchi, minari (water dropwort), and myeoljeot (fermented anchovy sauce) in the middle!

The meat looked really appetizing, and above all, having someone grill it for you made for a genuinely relaxed meal.

### Why staff grilling the pork belly made the meal easier

The meat is quite thick-cut, so cooking it yourself at that thickness really takes a long time.
And when several people are eating together, whoever's grilling has to stay glued to the pan the whole time — it's inconvenient in more ways than one.
At Musoettuk Samgyeop Sinheung branch, if you order the grilling service, they grill it golden brown right away, so you don't have to keep worrying about whether the meat is cooked — that was a huge plus.

## Onion wraps and draft beer served in wine glasses

The onion wraps I'd often seen on YouTube!
Musoettuk Samgyeop actually has it as a menu item haha.
I was curious so I ordered it — the sharp, slightly spicy flavor of the onion cut through the richness of the meat so it didn't feel greasy, and it wasn't as spicy as I expected, so I get why YouTubers wrap their meat in it so much.
If you haven't tried it yet, definitely recommend it!

You can't have meat without draft beer!
At Musoettuk Samgyeop, they serve it in a wine glass, and even that was so pretty!
I'm usually someone who can barely drink, but I ordered a draft beer this time and had a glass.
Especially cold draft beer while eating hot meat straight off the grill —
if you like beer with your meat, this combo is for you!
Since they maintain the draft beer daily, it was noticeably crisp and really tasty.

K-dessert fried rice
You know it's a letdown if fried rice doesn't show up at the end, right?
We'd already each finished a bowl of rice, but my husband, brother-in-law and I still cleared the fried rice too.
The fried rice is also cooked fresh and brought out neatly piled on foil — once you put it on the grill and let the bottom lightly char before eating, I really don't think there's a dessert that beats it.

## Who Musoettuk Samgyeop Sinheung Station Branch is best for

After visiting Musoettuk Samgyeop, what struck me most was how good the quality of the meat was.
This place only uses Seonjin pork!
On top of that, domestic kimchi and wild minari.
It wasn't just the adults who enjoyed it — my 12-year-old and 7-year-old nephews ate really well too, so I think we'll have to visit again once the weather warms up a bit more.
No need to be busy grilling meat while trying to eat — a place where you can chat comfortably and look after the kids at the same time!
A place where both the plating and the taste are guaranteed!
